Konami Announces Peace Walker Clothing Line For Men

What better way to express your loyalty and appreciation than by wearing examples of iconic gaming?

Today, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has announced a new branded clothing line for men based on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP, which released last year to rave reviews. As the press release says- "This will be the first complete clothing collection for the franchise, allowing fans to show their METAL GEAR SOLID love by dressing the part from head to toe." The parternship is with Musterbrand; you may recall their participation in giving us the slick Gran Turismo Boutique . Said Careen Yapp, Vice President of Acquisitions and Franchise Development of Konami Digital Entertainment:

"Our partnership will give fans the opportunity to 'suit up' for one of the most successful video game franchises of all time, specifically for METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER. The mass success and support for our latest METAL GEAR SOLID hit has allowed us to expand beyond what we've done in the past with the series, and we are very much looking forward to offering this new line to a global community of fans."

The apparel will be available for purchase as of next week – April 11 – and the collection will feature coats, sweatshirts, pants, t-shirts and hats, "all inspired by clothing worn by characters in the game." More items will be released quarterly "and surrounding certain special events throughout the year." So if GT isn't your thing, perhaps MGS is…which means you should soon make some additions to your wardrobe.

Freedom of choice. Some may like it, some may not.

What do you mean waste of money? Waste of WHAT money? Nobody's denying a PW port to PS3 because of some clothing company. Someone wants to dress up in diarrhea stained pants, I say let them.

I've got my MLB The Show Yankees cap somewhere around here. It even has the PS logo, just wish it was bigger.

Cool stuff, might look into it.

This will do great for all those MGS cosplay & short film video maker groups too.

This is a great idea. Video game companies need to start branching out into other areas. Have you ever seen a movie, tv show, musician, or other popular form of entertainment that didn't have merchandise? No, because it's a huge money maker and it's great advertising.

They should learn to do more expanding like this. We need a good line of MGS action figures, t-shirts, etc. When we walk into wally worlds and target instead of dora and sponge bob, how about some shirts with snake and metal gears. Branching out could help a lot of these companies financially.

no thanks!
1 how embarrassing would it be to walk around with a gaming shirt?
i mean seriously, might as well walk around with a massive bulls eye on your back!
2 will be ridiculously overpriced!
i just bought a pair of puma shoes, and oakly sunnies.
since they had just launched that day the licencing was still under works, but 5 weeks later a friend of mine bought the exact same ones because he saw mine and liked them.
he paid 280 bucks more for the sunnies, and 140 more for the shoes!
why?
his shoes are the exact same as mine, but they have a Ferrari logo on them.
same as the glasses, but they had a ducatti symbol on them and came with a special box.
140 and 280 more just for a silly logo?
f*ck that!
for once lady luck smiles on my side!
