Perhaps you hadn't noticed, but the PSP has more than a few role-playing titles to satisfy your craving for quality, somewhat old-school RPGs.
One of the newest will come from Square-Enix. It's Lord of Arcana , and Square-Enix has just confirmed that it will arrive in North America on January 25. It'll be available in both standard UMD form and digital format on the PlayStation Network, and it'll boast solo and local co-op action for up to four players. You set out to find the Arcana stone, which is purported to be "the source of all order in the world," and many foes will stand in our way. It's sort of like Monster Hunter but as we're still waiting on Monster Hunter Portable 3rd – Capcom has yet to confirm that it'll launch outside of Japan – Lord of Arcana should be a worthy substitute. Featuring all sorts of quintessential action/RPG gameplay, this is one title that could really drain away your free hours. Handheld fans are well aware of what the PSP has delivered in the past; we're hoping for another gem.
Maybe you're planning to wait for the PSP2, though. There's yet more evidence to support the idea that developers already have their hands on dev kits…

Wait, blu-ray? Is this a PS3 game as well?
He probably meant UMD. I don't think this was ever announced as a PS3 game. Not unless Ben knows something we don't. LOL
Yes, yes, fixed.
Ben's been hitting the sauce of late.
Woa, my PSP plays blu rays? I'll probably grab this on the cheap later. PSP is the only place to get RPGs with any old flavor, but SE is still in my doghouse.
Stupid Capcom still doesn't have the balls to put a Monster Hunter on the PS3.
They know they don't have what it takes.
LOL… MH Online is on the 360 in Japan for the three people who actually own 360s in Japan.
Who cares. I have more fun at the gym than playing anything squareenix has released over the last 4 years.
Don't forget, Namco's God Eater Burst is coming to the U.S. on March 8 too. God Eater is another MH clone, and a very successful one in Japan.
