He's just the cutest furry unknown virtual creature ever. And if you'd rather enjoy his company on the go, you gotta nab EyePet for the PSP.
Already released for the PlayStation 3 and the new Move technology, EyePet is all about interacting with and caring for a virtual buddy. And as of yesterday, PSP owners can partake of the adorable goodness ; you just need a PSP camera and Magic Card, which will be included with the game. You don't need to be in any specific place to play with your new friend, either; you can interact with EyePet just about anywhere: "your lap, a desk, a swing, a bus, on your dog's back…" And here are the details:
— EyePet reacts to your every move. Go ahead and stroke it or poke it with your finger, blow into the microphone to see its hair flow, make loud sounds to scare it, and much, much more.
— EyePet loves fun. This little creature likes to play games—launch it at some pins by using the X button or blowing into the mic in a game of bowling, or give it a spin on your own custom-drawn car.
— EyePet is an artist. It also happens to know magic. Show EyePet a drawing of yours, and it’ll recreate the picture in-game and miraculously transform it into a 3D toy.
— EyePet likes to play dress-up. Customize its fur length and pattern, and earn tons of new outfits by winning challenges to personalize EyePet’s look.
Great for any age and a quality holiday gift option, EyePet PSP should be perfect for younger portable fans. The PS3 version worked out pretty well and we'll assume the handheld iteration is just as solid.

So I'm wondering if this is for every PSP???
If so, I'll get it just for the camera, since the blog says you can take pics & vids(hoping they don't mean just in-game).
Can anybody say Moncheechee?
Oh man…commercial jingle in my head now…thanks a lot…
But I'm willing to bet a lot of people aren't old enough to get the reference. 😉
I don't get it…
Use your googles for "Moncheechee" and see if you can guess where the Eyepet makers must have gotten their inspiration. 🙂
Mon-chee-chee, MON-chee-chee…….

Oh wow I spelled that wrong, that deserves a big Lloyd Christmas "I was WAY off!"
I used to watch the Moncheechees every day. Oh, I loved that show…
EDIT: Although yeah, I'm pretty certain that that is spelled incorrectly.

RIGHT! That was EXACTLY what I was thinking the first time I saw EyePet a couple years back.
Anybody who strokes it or pokes it while playing with it on their lap is going to get arrested.
HA.
what if they blow on the microphone?
I need a fwiend 8xD
Ya… epic failure… it didn't go anywhere…
Q!
"play.experience.enjoy"
Can the pet actually die? I think little kids can have a greater sense of responsibility when they treat this Eyepet as an actual pet, rather than a game.
what is it with taking former ps3 exclusives and bringing them to the PSP lately?
sony, i did not spend 300 bucks for my 3000 so i could play games i could play on my ps3!
the PSP seriously needs some exclusives!
i so want to buy one, especially now there 250 and would really come in handy for my holiday, and GOS is making it that more tempting!
but its going to be a freezing cold day in hell, before i spend 250 bucks on a PSP so i could play games i can already play on my ps3!
wow…..I get the feeling that deep inside that black bitter heart of yours..is a sad and lonely boy…or girl..or goat, or whatever you are.

I just had an great reveling. Mr. Anonymous is in fact the alien goat from Medal of Honor.
You just said you bought a 3000…so why the hell would you even want to buy another?
To me, this one and invisimals are like an experiment. EyeToy-like motion controls for PSP as far as I can tell. Maybe, they aim at prolonging PSP's life until no.2 is out and maybe are getting feedback for it.
Anyway, I think that they could use the camera for some body tracking and things while the microphone analyzes distance in a way. But well, if i use motion controls, then who is gonna hold my PSP.
I didn't even realize that the camera had finally made it state side. Last I'd looked into the psp camera, It was only available in japan and europe, and they didn't even know if it was coming to NA.
I'm just not sure how well this peripheral is going to work on the PSP. It's a neat Idea, but the next PSP should come with a built in Webcam.
I was thinking of getting the Camera so I could Skype my family while I was sitting on a beach in Costa Rica but couldn't get it in time so I didn't bother.
