PSP owners are always looking for great new software – really, what gamer isn't? – and we're all hoping that God Eater will be a must-have handheld title.
D3Publisher has announced that God Eater will release in North America for the PSP in Q3 2010. There have already been a whopping 1.5 million downloads of the demo in Japan, and this fast-paced action extravaganza features over 100 missions and an engaging, post-apocalyptic world. You'll be able to switch between long-range and melee attacks on the fly, and "devour gigantic enemies and customize bullets to alter the strength, pattern and elemental type for super powerful attacks." The game will also support local Ad-Hoc and online multiplayer modes. Said Pete Andrew, vice president of product development for D3Publisher:
"The anticipation for God Eater in Japan has been tremendous with more than 1.5 million downloads of the demo. God Eater offers high-speed, stylized action mixed with a deep dramatic storyline that makes it uniquely different from its competitors and we look forward to bringing this title to gamers in North America."
The Aragami are running amok on earth and our only hope are the God Eaters, those brave souls who wield the Jinki weapons; the only weapons that are effective against those marauding mutated beasts. You can create your own hero on this noble quest and take on over 35 different enemies, all the while customizing your equipment and character advancement stats. It sounds like a ton of fun, so we'll be interested to see how it turns out.
