Okay, look: it's winter. It's cold and nasty. Many of us find ourselves dreaming of far-away places where there's sand, water and babes aplenty.
That's why we're updating you with new media for the upcoming Dead or Alive Paradise for the PSP, which should release some time during the second quarter of this year. For those of you who are unfamiliar, it's essentially a handheld remake of the Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball titles for the Xbox 360. The PSP version boasts all those enticing little mini games, lounging sessions by the pool, a few extra characters and oh yeah, a bit of volleyball, too. First, feel free to check out all the new screenshots , loaded with lots of bikini fun; afterward, watch the new trailer that is already starting to get some attention.
The DoAX games on the 360 didn't exactly tear down high review scores but we should probably remember Tecmo's claim: they're what they like to call "leisure games." Apparently, "leisure" also includes a lot of scantily clad, impossibly proportioned ladies bouncing around and spreading suntan lotion on themselves but hey, that can be "leisurely." What, you think it won't sell well? Maybe it won't, but don't dismiss it so quickly! Hawaii is just so far away…

I'm surprised they don't package this with a fleashlight.
As horrible as that sounded I couldn't help but to laugh.
I think it's Fleshlight.
Now THAT'S a "teaser."
Lol.
All it teases for me is Kasumi, Kasumi, Kasumi, Kasumi…DAMN I LOVE HER!
YouTube embedding FTW!
Hell yeah.
Ben are you guys using YouTube embedding from now on?
Plzzzzzz.
We will if it's relevant.
rediculous
No more ridiculous than watching the Victoria's Secret lingerie fashion show…
at least those girls are real
And yet…equally unavailable to us all.
Speak for yourself. My collection of electrical tape says otherwise.
@BTN – Define real… most of them are half plastic and the other half are photoshopped to high heaven to look more desirable.
how can you photo shop a telivised event?
And equally impossibly proportioned.
sekushi

And here i was thinking Bayonetta was bad enough

This was made for a certain reason, and it's NOT the same reason for Bayonetta's creation.
You do at least have to recognize that they are not in any way hiding what the game is about…
LOL!
At last! The *real* reason to own a PSP.
For portable perving? Take this bad boy in the bathroom and go Go GO!
Wow, Anyone remember when DOA used to be a fighting game? What ever happened to that?
Dead or Alive: Bikini fashion show just doesn't have the same ring to it…
Or Dead or Alive: Volleyball even…I don't think I've ever heard of a high volleyball death rate before..but whatever.
But I agree with highlander, they don't seem to be trying to advertise that this game might actually have some kind of substance to it. It's all about T&A so don't expect anything more.

Slow news day?
Or fun news day?
Or fun and slow news day?
Or slow and fun news day?
Or time flies when you're having a fun news day?
Sssshhh. 🙂

@LV
Your abbreviation for "am not a lawyer"?
Ingenious…
😉
Funny you come up with lawyer, I'm treating myself to Law and Order CI tonight. I'm a big fan of Vincent D'Onofrio.
a beach volleyball game on the PSP?
WTF?
no thanks, just get back to making my ninja gaiden sigma and this time make sure its released the same time on both systems.
and dont gimp out on the gore this time that really pissed me off.
Japanese people are a bunch of perves, got to love em.
Absolutely, but they're idiots when it comes to porn. They have no problem showing a girl get bukaked by a dozen guys but they pixelate gentiles. That's like showing a guy get his head cut off but blurring out the axe doing it.
I have to ask everyone jumping on the bandwagon of dismissing this as 'pervy' or pr0n, how is this game any worse than the kinds of posters that Teenage boys put on their walls, or the wallpapers that they put on their phones, PDAs, PSPs, game consoles or PCs? It's not even remotely in the same league as even the softest pr0n, and yet it's being classified similarly.
As for the argument that it's somehow sad or weird to find the images titillating. Perhaps you can make that argument, but I can also point to a whole crapload of legitimate art that is no more real, and just as titillating as anything here. Good lord, did no one ever wonder why Wonder Woman and all the other female Super Heroes and Super Villains from Marvel and DC have skin tight costumes, huge disproportionately large breasts and buttocks and the thighs of a Samoan rugby player. How are these scantily clad figures in western comics not equally dismissed as 'pervy' or pr0n?
I'm a happy owner of DOAX on the old box, hacked for my pleasure. It's cool to play with them naked, but if I played the game naked myself, then you could call me nuts.

@ Highlander, dude lighten up.Why don't you write a book about it,jeez.
Dude, lighten up yourself, since when was writing a problem?
I think it's really, REALLY sad and depressing when someone who takes the time to write more than four words on the Internet is seen as weird or as someone who needs to "lighten up."
Congrats to technology for erasing literary ability.
Ben and Highlander sitting in a tree!
K-I-S-S-I-N-G!
lol so this is the DoA title the PS is finally getting, sensational……. …..
If only they had of thought of creating Chloe and Elena in Uncharted 2 like this…I think this should be the standard for all female characters in games. Just kidding (but not really 😉 )
I thought dead or alive was an xbox exclusive. I never knew there would be a dead or alive game on a playstation product before.
Dead or Alive ++ was on the original Playstation in 1998. Dead or Alive 2 was on Playstation 2 in 2000 (Japan got two versions of this on PS2 in the year 2000, DOA2 and DOA2 Hard*core – no seriously). The Xbox didn't see Dead or Alive until more than a year later in 2001 with DOA3, and it would appear (based on the lack of PS versions after DOA2) that Microsoft paid for exclusivity. I guess that exclusivity is over now…
Other than DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball (Xbox), and the follow-up on Xbox360 called DOA Xtreme 2, the game is/was a brawler/fighter game.
I've got DOA2 on Dreamcast as well. Still the smoothest presentation.
Well, I suppose I could get this game for those times when I wanna play a game, but don't feel like killing something. Every game I own has me killing stuff… Zombies, Las Plagas, Dracula, Skeletons, Dragons, Genma, Ninjas, Dark Genies, Heartless, Nobodies, Skeith, Mundus, Marionettes, 7 Hells, Argosax, The Despair Embodied, Arkham (AND THE POWER OF SPARDA), Harry McDowell, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, The Boss, Cobra Units, FoxHound, GRU Soldiers…
Let me stop before I lose it. In any case, you get the idea. I would welcome this as a break from the norm.
May I suggest to you "Flower"? That game rocks and is very much about bringing things to life.
Anyways, it's an amazing game.
I don't own a PS3 yet… Still saving up. I'm moving at a turtle's pace too since I am a college student. Flower is on my list of games to get though.
