BlazBlue PSP Confirmed For March North American Release

One of last year's best and most under-appreciated games is going portable, and it's confirmed for North America.

Aksys Games has announced that BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger , the extremely well-received 2D fighter that released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2009, will be available on the PSP in North America this March. You'll be able to snag the game as either a UMD or digital download. This is no watered-down port, either; the PSP version will boast all the console modes plus brand new Shop and Legion modes, where you control an entire party of fighters. Said Michael Manzanares, Project Lead for the game:

"Every frame of animation and hit box is painstakingly replicated from the original game, so all of your combos work without a hitch. It’s really nice when you need your BB fix on the go. And new Unlimited versions of your favorite characters don’t hurt, either."

You can see the full list of features and then decide for yourself if you'll make yet another March purchase. 12 unique characters complete with those new Unlimited versions for each, flashy and effective "Drive Attacks," multiplayer fun with up to four players via Ad-Hoc Mode, and the ability to use money to purchase illustrations and Unlimited characters…it's all here. Really, for fighting fans, there's just no better option in the world of handhelds.
