The PSP has plenty of appealing software on store shelves these days, but one of the latest releases can also be found on the PSN…and ahead of the standard Thursday update.
If you decided to jump onto the PlayStation Store at some point in the past 24 hours, you may have noticed that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is sitting there, waiting to be bought. It's also available on UMD down at your local game store if you'd rather do that, but in this case, it may be more convenient for you to nab one of the most anticipated ports of the year in digital format. In this latest GTA adventure, the main character – Huang Lee – comes back to Liberty City on a mission of revenge: he's on a quest to find the man who killed his father. Featuring plenty of new content and a definite visual upgrade from the DS version, Chinatown Wars is one of those game that most PSP owners will want to have in their collections. Said Rockstar founder Sam Houser:
"Chinatown Wars represents our desire to continue innovating and delivering an unparalleled level of entertainment for portable games. The team at Rockstar Leeds has taken one of their most acclaimed titles of all time and built upon that experience in a way that could only be done on the PSP system."
There are more than enough reasons to own a PSP right now, and if you've forgotten, the GTA franchise has done extraordinarily well on Sony's portable unit. They recently said they have no intention of abandoning the PSP – people thought they might when Chinatown Wars only released for the DS – and that should come as good news to all. So if you want the newest handheld GTA, just log on to the PSN tonight!
