As you can see at the Australian web branch of EB Games , Sony is indeed preparing a special PSP package to celebrate the impending launch of the hotly anticipated handheld shooter. They're listing the release date as March 26 and it holds a price tag of $319.99, which isn't a bad deal- the bundle includes the silver PSP-3000, the game in question, a Retribution -branded black pouch, and a Retribution PSP Skin. This has been officially announced for Australia, "to be sold in Australia and other European countries," which translates to the full scope of the PAL universe. As for North America, you can bet this bad boy is coming our way as well, although we don't yet have a price and other details. Thus far, the portable iteration of Resistance has garnered high critical acclaim (based on early feedback whispers), and it's easily the most anticipated PSP title of the month. If you don't own one yet, these package deals are usually a great option; not only do you get one of the system's best titles, but you also get a few extra goodies as well.
Here's hoping Retribution delivers the third-person shooter goods in spades – that's right; remember, it's not a FPS – and when the bundle gets here, you should definitely consider it if you're currently PSP-less.

I'd grab it if it makes it here…but unfortunately I already traded in Resistance 2 for Killzone 2
Why is that unfortunate? I did the same thing. And I'm glad I did. KZ2 is 10 times better in almost every way.
By the way I'm getting Resistance Retribution because there hasn't been a great PSP game in awhile. (fingers crossed)

It's unfortunate because of the connectivity between Retribution and R2.
Isn't the PSP2 coming out soon. I guess Sony is trying to give the PSP a last push out the door before they go UMD-less.
No suprise here II seen this bundle coming. I'm picking up resistance tuesday.
If this game is made by the same people that made stuff like Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow for the PSP I'm definitely buying Retribution.
I dunno about the bundle though; I already have a PSP. A PSP-1000 though…

I have been looking for a reason to pickup a PSP for a while. This bundle might just be a good reason to get one.
I regret not having picked up the "god of war" bundle.
I would get this bundle, but I'm afraid of seeing a newer model hitting shelves weeks later.

Well that's strange, I remember a commenter almost 1.5 months ago was talking about this on PSXextreme and Ben said how the whole idea of a "PSP Resistance: Retribution Bundle" coming up was highly likely. And here it is…

Oh my God, I'm slightly annoyed at this, it is just my luck! I Pre-order Resistance: Retribution, then go and buy a nice shiny new (red) PSP-3000, and this is announced, *sigh*. Oh well. And as far as I know, the PSP2 hasn't even been officially announced, let alone Sony going UMD-less. In my opinion, it would be a mistake.
