As most PlayStation 3 owners are aware, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift releases early next month. It's one of the more anticipated titles of the year (the original gathered in plenty of off-road racing fans), and the sequel looks bigger and better in just about every way. But PSP owners like racing games, too…
And thus, the latest rumor: according to Dutch gaming site PS3Life.nl, UK retailer GAME suddenly has a PSP listing for "MotorStorm" in their database. We keep hearing from Sony that we can expect several large surprises for the PSP next year, so perhaps this is one of them. There's really no reason to keep a popular franchise away from handhelds these days; as we progress further through this generation, there are more and more gamers who own both a PS3 and a PSP. The connectivity bonus between the systems is only one of several reasons to own both platforms, and if you're on the go, why not have one of the more entertaining off-road racing titles at your fingertips? We're hoping Sony can confirm or deny this within the next few weeks, although there is the possibility an official unveiling awaits us at the Tokyo Game Show in October. The timing would be perfect, as the event kicks off mere days after Pacific Rift hits store shelves.
Remember, Sony revealed Resistance: Retribution for the PSP at E3 2008, so is it really out of the realm of possibility that a MotorStorm title could go portable as well?
OMG
Great pre-rumor John hope it is really coming to psp.
Would be really nice. Especially with GT never going portable, or so it seems anyways lol.
HUGE!!!!!!!! i love motorstorm
Will it cope, hardware wise? Pointless to make a "sad" version of the game is it not?
