Chains Of Olympus Dated, Special Demo Revealed

PS3 owners are still anxiously awaiting any news of God of War 3 , but in the meantime, PSP users got some great news today: God of War: Chains of Olympus now has an official date, and even better, those who played the demo will get a sweet bonus!

According to GameSpot, Ready at Dawn says the handheld GoW will hit store shelves on March 4, 2008. For those of you who don't know, Chains of Olympus is essentially a prequel to the original title that hit the PS2 back in 2005. This new story focuses on the time period directly before Kratos embarks on his first quest, when his family met their unfortunate demise. It's a must for any fan of the critically acclaimed series, and although we have to wait until March, it's really not that far off.

But in case you're getting all antsy waiting, Ready at Dawn will give North American gamers an early fix. Come the end of this month, those who signed up for the demo earlier this year will get a special edition demo UMD that includes part of a playable level plus additional content! A standard demo UMD – one that will only boast the level with no extra content – will become available later on this year. It's pretty clear these developers value their fans, so hopefully, you were on the ball and signed up for the demo…if so, your reward is on the way!
