In sports, they sometimes say one athlete "got into the head" of another, and we know what that means.
But in Starbreeze's Syndicate , we should take that phrase more literally. Here's our first solid look at the gameplay, which features some absolutely bad-ass skills (shooting around corners?! Hell yes ) and a fitting techno soundtrack. But perhaps the most intriguing ability involves mind control, which is obviously extremely dangerous in the year 2069. It reminds us of Mindjack only…you know, better.
Syndicate is slated to release in North America on February 21 and we have to admit, we're excited. You can say it's "just another shooter" but given the bevy of mind-bending skills featured in this trailer, you have to admit that Starbreeze is adding some definite flavor to a tried-and-true mechanic. We can't wait to see more.

Looks like an action-oriented Deus Ex with blue instead of orange color scheme… I like it.
Seems as though they're steering away from the "tactical shooter" mechanics of the original series in favor of the casual crowd. Still as a first-person shooter it definitely looks like fun.

Unfortunately, the "just another shooter" part is THE problem with this game. Meaning has zero in common with the original game. I refuse to support this growing trend.
i think it looks great
This game actually looks pretty cool.
I will approach it as a new game though, not another syndicate, because it is nothing like the original classics!
Looks cool though, nonetheless!
Looks awesome!
meh.
sorry, im just sick of developers taking my favourite franchises and turning them on their head!
if i wanted a mindless shooter id go buy a mindless shooter, not look to a famous strategy series!
my god its socom 4 all over again!
Looks totally awesome indeed. And music by Skrillex too! Wow.
it's like a more badass, blue version of Deus Ex. I look forward to more gameplay of this.
I liked the original series a lot, but this looks pretty damn fun. I don't like it when series get completely changed unless they look high-quality, and this certainly does. I'll be keeping an eye on it from now on.
