First inFamous 2 User Generated Content Pack Is Free

User Generated Content (UGC) has been huge for inFamous 2 .

And if you don't want your experience to end, you should grab the first User Generated Content Pack , which is currently available on the PlayStation Network. Oh, and by the way- it's free . More free content updates will add new objects to the UGC interface, and this first pack includes several vehicles from the single-player missions: Bertrand's Limo, Bertrand's Semi-Truck, the New Marais Police Car, the Ambulance, and a bicycle.

So far, gamers have generated over 50,000 pieces of UGC for this game. Now, that means it can be difficult to find the specific missions you want to play. Therefore, in addition to the above announcement, they've revealed the Missions Search: just pause the game, bring up the UGC menu, and search by most any term you wish, including PSN user names. If you're a little intimidated by the idea of making your own mission, feel free to check out the UGC Tutorial Videos .

When I first started playing, the majority of the UGC missions (ones not created by Sucker Punch staff) were basically mediocre. A few were even unplayable. But as time goes on, people get better. And besides, who really wants to stop playing inFamous 2 ?

As was with the last one, an expansion pack would hit the spot. I wouldn't mind paying a $10 fee for it either.

But as Ben stated, some of the UGC I played (both Sucker Punch and User) was a blast!

Free DLC? What a novel idea. =D

I just started playing the UGC about a week ago, and have tried maybe like 10-15 of them. About 8 were good, a couple were outstanding, and the rest were just pointless.

I thought it was gonna be worse. The level creator is so confusing though.

Yeah I only tried them the first week of release and they weren't horrible, but if was enough to make me go…"OK..back to the main game", but now I might try it to see whats hot.

Free DLC? hmmmMMM…I'm confused, does this include missions? or just the tools to create your own mission? because if it's the second one, no wonder its free. As much as I loved Infamous 2, too much attention is given to the side missions and UGC as a whole. Need more story based missions as that's what made the side missions so much more meaniingful. Just sayin, Infamous 3 should focus alot more attention on the story instead of scattering countless amount of sidemissions across the city. Or just include more story based missions with more side missions…longer game for everyone…you know the ones who aren't "real gamers";)

I liked the side missions, they flushed out the story and gave me a break from the action. I actually wished they flushed them out more and had more "molds" that they used. I think i had to jump off the junction box and glide to the end like 5 times. At least there was a huge improvement over the first game's side missions, i hated getting rid of those computers at the side of a building.

I didn't mind the surveillance search, reminded my of spiderman.

One thing I'm confused about is why I'm the only one who liked the sewer missions in the first game. Those were sweet.

I liked the sewere missions…plus they made up a majority of the story.

I'm with you on both counts, World. I'm playing it currently and appreciate anything that breaks the stream of "kill 20 enemies plus a Conduit" missions.

A few of the timed jumps are unnecessarily tough, though, especially after you get used to "snapping" to perches.

I was surprised when these popped up not on the store but as a mandatory game update, it was a brief one but I wondered what they were changing. I don't understand how the vehicles work, does that juts mean you can put them in your missions? That one Sucker Punch made with the moving boat constructed from scene bits was totally weird.

As I go on into my Evil play and play UGC in order to get my trophies I've noticed they have gotten a lot better. There are ones that have their own plots and stories now which are really cool. I appreciate the ones aimed at making trophies easier to get too.

Still haven't tried to make my own mission, dunno if I should make somethin simple just for the trophy or go completely nuts and make a whole new game.

There are a few levels that were made that have no content. As soon as you start the mission it would immediately go to the mission complete screen. I found at least 5 like that and they were what I consider to be some of the best missions on there. It made collecting the trophies a lot less annoying.

Most of the ones I found were just labeled as New Mission, but not all of the ones with that name are empty.

Just finished InFamous and I'm going through withdrawals. I spend a lot of time in the gasworks just blowing stuff up with my Hellfire rockets.:) I did NOT like playing the evil side…I liked some of the powers ,but, the ending nearly brought me to tears. (Hope that's not a spoiler jus' sayin) I may go back and play Hero to get the bad taste out of my mouth!
