As revealed at today's EA press conference at E3, it's Overstrike . The game centers on an elite team of outcasts: a reformed mercenary, a mischievous lifelong thief, a gifted but rebellious young scientist, and a temperamental decorated detective." The team will utilize a bad-ass arsenal of fringe-tech gadgets, and they will set out to save the world in an "epic adventure that spans the globe." Called a "four-player co-op action experience," this one has loads and loads of promise.
Is it what you expected? We figure Insomniac is fully capable of delivering an awesome experience, regardless of the intended platforms, and this game looks wicked cool. Anyway, it's time for Sony's press conference…!

I'm excited especially after seeing that trailer. I'm hoping that this game will be good.
That trailer reminds me of the incredibles, except more badass.

Yes. This title certainly has promise. I like the fact that this four person team is diverse both in terms of race (2 white, 1 black, and 1 asian if I'm not mistaken) and gender (2 men and 2 women). I also like the fact that the characters all seem to have diverse and interesting backgrounds and personalities. And it looks like Insomniac is certainly going to continue it's tradition of good and creative weapon variety. So far so good I would say.
Somehow it reminds me of borderlands…

I'll definitely keep an eye on this one. I love insomniac games. They don't disappoint.
Look, nobody loves Insomniac more than me, but this 4-player co-op sub-genre is getting beaten to death lately.
No no no. Coop should be mandatory! All great moments are best shared!
I can't help but feel like he's being sarcastic… My wife and I can't find a decent co-op game on PS3 to save our lives. Portal 2 will be a near-future purchase, thought.
This looks too violent for my wife's tastes, but I'll keep my eye on it anyways. 🙂

L4D(2), Gears(2/3), LBP(2), R&C All4One, etc…
What that means is that when i'm playing the single-player campaign i'll be stuck dealing with 3 AI-controlled idiots unless i can sync my schedule with 3 of my friends (never happens. ever.).
I feel like co-op should always be a separate campaign. Imagine being forced to play God of War with 3 other people (ai or not), it would be awful.
when i saw it, it remind me of brink or team fortess in someways like the character models or pretty much the overlook of the game, but with insomniac great style to it. cant wait to see how the game devs down the line
Sounds interesting. Multi-plat makes me cry, but it's the way of the world these days. If I get it, I'll have to make sure my friends get it too so we can play online.
This game looks to have some real potential and with Insomniac at the helm you know it will be polished!
Damn, this game is looking great, but no SP mode?
I'm pretty sure it will have single player mode. All games have to have that today.
Perhaps it will scale according to the number of players, like in Borderlands.

Looks like a nice bargain bin pickup.
Yeah, because that CGI trailer definitely shows us real gameplay and allows us to form a real opinion about the game at this point in time.
Maybe you should wait for some gameplay to come out before you start judging. Just sayin.

as long as it has a story campaign mode, as in you can play it offline with bots im in!

I predict mediocre sales for this title, despite how good it could be.
Looks great!! I always enjoy games that are fun and don't take themselves seriously.
Games like Bulletstorm, Ratchet and Clank and any others that use humour throughout I usually enjoy more than games that take themselves waaaaay too seriously.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Overstrike though. Not yet sold on D1P, but the humour certainly helped catch my interest. And it helped it stand apart from all the other games showcased.
The DeathSpank series is another that has some good cheesy humor.
That guy has a huge chin. However I like the animation.
Interested, despite the cheesy name.
Looks and sounds like a hell of a lot of fun, just like pretty much all other Insomniac games. I'm very interested to see more of this.
I will be keeping my eye on this one in the months to come. For now I'll remain cautiously optimistic.
