As you will find when the game arrives next month, the music is crucial for the freakish atmosphere in Shadows of the Damned .
And if you pre-order the promising action title from GameStop, Amazon.com, or the EA Store, you will nab the bonus digital soundtrack featuring 12 original songs. These are "hand-crafted by critically acclaimed composer Akira Yamaoka," who assisted in chilling us all to the bone with the Silent Hill music. Here are the tracks on the list:
This is the one game that remains high on our priority list…primarily for the sake of the designers involved. With Resident Evil guru Shinji Mikami and Suda51 ( No More Heroes ) at the helm and Yamaoka delivering the awesome music, it's tough to conceive of a failure. But it's all going to depend on the gameplay, as it always does. Cross your fingers!

I hope the music ends up being just as crazy as the rest of this game.
Digital soundtrack? :
Yamaoka… I love how he handled the music in Silent Hill. It always fit the atmosphere so perfectly.
Soundtracks should always come on CD or Vinyl.
I was getting excited until I read digital too. A CD soundtrack would have seriously tempted my resolve on this one. Between them and artbooks, I don't really understand why anyone would want to get something like the KZ3 Helghast Edition (unless it's like the GT5 Sig. Ed., 'cause that had stuff that you'd actually use).
Peace.
especially at 250 bucks!
the GT5 one was one of my favorite, but not worth 250 let alone 300!
crysis 2 nano edition is by far my favorite.
a really cool backpack large enough to fit a 17 inch gaming laptop.
a really cool figurine that lights up and has so much detail, its amazing the crumples in the plastic look real!
the art books one of the best ive seen!
2nd favorite would have to be the ACB codex edition.
the dirary looks so cool, bound in leather with the assassins symbol imprinted, and the pages look really old and have a burned effect to them.
the crysis 2 one takes the cake though, comes with the most kit, comes with the nicest kit, and is 100 bucks cheaper then the GT5 sig edition, or 50 bucks cheaper then the KZ3 hig edition!
who said sony treats their fans like a bank………
im really looking forward to this.
just sounds so cool, and im hoping its actually scary for a change.
honestly it pains me to see how far the horror genre has fallen!
ps1 and ps2 days games could scare me at the drop of a hat! still can!
ps3 games, well, ill let you know once i get one………..
