Past Spider-Man games have been pretty enjoyable, so we have high expectations for the latest entry.
Just announced last week, Bennox is hard at work on Spider-Man: Edge of Time , which features the time shifts found in last year's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions . This time around, you're gonna have to save yourself… And to keep you interested, here's the debut trailer:
Yep, we'll be going back and forth between the Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, all in an effort to keep Peter Parker alive. The world needs a hero and if he's dead, there's not much of a story, now is there? Anyway, this looks pretty good, so stay tuned for more details.

Whoa, that looks very interesting
This looks great! I wonder if they will have Online/Couch COOP? I really like Spider-Man 2099. Keep it up Beenox as I really enjoyed Shattered Dimensions. However……I would like to see Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man 2 have a baby! Now that would be a great almost perfect Spider-Man game. Why do I keep thining about Batman AA??? 🙂
*drool*
Can't wait for this. Why? My name not ring any bells..?
The camera and controls while swinging in Shattered Dimensions was horrid and eventually made me quit my playthrough. If Beenox can tighten that up, this may actually be a decent Spidey game. I really wish Activision would allow Treyarch to take another swing at Spidey. Spider-Man 2 is still my absolute favourite Spidey game (followed closely by Neversoft's Spider-Man on the PSOne).

This looks pretty awesome, but am I the only person who really wants another Maximum Carnage game? I would love to play as Carnage and Venom again.
You are not the only one, I'm right there with you. Still have that game, for snes and sega.
Looks cool. I still haven't gotten around to playing Shattered Dimensions. Spider-Man games never really seem to pull me in. It'll be on my list to watch though.
Sadly this looks like shattered dimensions rehashed with a plot twist. Combat and spidey mechanics were not spidey at all on SD so I hope they change that up.
As for the story, I'm really curious as to where they are going with this. Not sure why there would be any need for Spidey 2099 to saver Spider-Man. They aren't related so it's not like 2099 wouldn't be born if Peter died before having children.
I have high hopes for this game because I love Spider-Man, but while my hopes may soar, my expectations remain in the sewers.
I really wish that RockSteady would take on a Spiderman. They would show other developers how its done.
I love how at 0:42 it shows the folds in his leg from the uniform, sorry it's the small details that I'm easily impressed by. Looks interesting, I'll keep an eye out for gameplay.
I kinda wanted Web of Shadows 2 or something similar to it anyway it really captured the combat of spidey… and the cameos from other heros like Luke Cage & Wolverine + more didn't hurt either.
I would have been much happier with that announcement as well.
Seems like Activision is using the "one game a year philosophy" with all its series. And the Spidey games didn't need it, based on what was a lackluster performance last year IMO. Hopefully the Spiderman 2099 parts are good (those were my favorite parts in Shattered Dimensions), but they're gonna have to really impress me to make me think its even a decent game.
Btw, we really need a Spidey game that's a combination of Spiderman 2 and Web of Shadows (Web of Shadows for combat, Spiderman 2 for most everything else). No more of these linear Spiderman games that don't really feel like Spiderman.
dont like this at all!
looks allot like the last spiderman, which was ok nothing special!
why o why cant we go back to the style of spiderman 2?
i'd think about getting this game but after seeing this trailer it reminds me of shattered dimensions. heck it looks like shattered dimensions with a new plot. disappointed
