Before they announced God of War: Ghost of Sparta , developer Ready At Dawn hinted they were "graduating" to the home consoles.
Now it seems they are indeed cranking on a mystery project, and it has nothing to do with God of War or the PSP. According to a new job listing , the team is now working on a "third-person action adventure" for undisclosed consoles. We imagine it's a multiplatform game but you never know; their relationship with Sony may result in a Playstation 3 exclusive. Here's part of the job listing:
"Are you ready to work on an exciting new AAA IP for the home console? Ready At Dawn is working on a 3rd Person Action Adventure and is looking for talented, motivated and self-directed developers to join our team."
So what might you want to see from these guys? Something similar to GoW, simply because they've already proven themselves in that category? "Third person action adventure" encompasses a great many ideas and concepts, so this project will remain very much a mystery until it's revealed. Sure, we could always use another great portable God of War , but it's nice to branch out, right?
As good as they already did on the 2 GOW titles, I'm confident that they'll be making another good game, whatever it may wind up being.
This is good news, I love a really good 3rd person action/adventure game. I wouldn't mind if it was Gow related or not, just as long as they make it quality.
Keep those high standards people.
Cool beans, I wonder if it will have shooter mechanics or if it will stay in the fantasy realm. Either way I hope it's exclusive.
Well GoW – Ghosts of Sparta was spectacular… I can only imagine what they can and will do with this new AAA title…
Good luck to them…
Q!
"play.experience.enjoy"
Yea it was. They did a great job making the game feel like an authentic God of War game. One of my favorite PSP games to date.
And awesomesauce was gifted to all.
Seriously, the two PSP GoW titles are fantastic, but they're still going to have to step it up a notch. The home consoles are far more capable than the PSP, and I hope that R@D realise this. This is going to need to set itself apart from GoW to succeed, and I hope they can do it.
Peace.
I'll buy it. Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta are two of my favorite PSP games to date. I'm sure what ever they do for consoles will be fun.
This will game will either launch RAD to the ranks of other Exclusive devs like Sucker Punch, ND, Guerrilla if they stay exclusive or it will prove they aren't just ready to hang with the big boys just yet, I'll go with the former.
Oh and I read "….home console" that's singular, I'll take that as an exclusive game.

Looking very much forward to this, we need more top notch 3rd person action titles like GOW, Dantes Inferno, and Castlevania. I can't in good conscience put DMC or Bayonetta into the same category, same genre maybe but they are just different types of games.
Yes, can't wait to see what they're cooking up. Here's hoping they'll grab Heavenly Sword and give it a heavenly comeback, that game has so many great characters to work with.
nice!
wonder what it could be.
id much rather them release a GOW game for the NGP, but i guess this will do.
if they can make GoS look like that on the PSP, imagine what they could do with the NGP!
either that, or take GOW4 of sony SM.
they ruined GOW3, and i cant stand to see them ruin GOW4!
the departure of Cory, and the admission of stig was the biggest injustice the industry has ever seen!
i think thats why GOW3 sucked so hard, stig was so heffed up on the gore, gore and more gore he forgot theres other things to GOW then just gore!
GOWIII certainly was a downgrade but it's not that bad.
Though I wonder what Cory is up to now.
I thought GoW3 was pretty good tbh with you. But I guess that's just me.
As for your question Snaaaake, last I heard Cory was working on a Mad Max game.
dident he leave the industry to pursue other dreams?
pretty sure thats why he left SM.
I'd like to to see what these guys can do with the "NGP". The potential…
Hell yeah! They've already done so good with both GoW's on the PSP that they deserve to branch out to home consoles. I can't wait to see what they have in store.
