Ben-DutkaAlthough it began amidst controversy with lower-than-anticipated review scores, those scores have been on the rise recently, and fans are definitely ready to pick up Killzone 3 today.
According to PunchJump , high pre-order sales allowed Guerrilla's excellent sequel to be ranked as the top-selling product at Amazon.com's video game division, and there also seems to be demand for the special Helghast Edition, which comes complete with bonus content and even an exclusive Cloaking Helghast Marksman action figure. If you did pre-order at Amazon, you'll receive a $20 Bonus, access to 3 Unlock Points that can be used on a weapon or ability in the multiplayer aspect of the game, and a Retro Map Pack. It will never achieve the ridiculous sales of other FPSs but then again, KZ3 is exclusive, so comparison of sales numbers won't make much sense. Still, to have such a positive response at Amazon is a good sign. If you like great games, we say Killzone 3 is a can't-miss title. Plain and simple.

Great. I'd hate to see KZ3's sales damaged by some mediocore reviewers. This could be a good sign; GT5 was top seller before it released- look at the sales now. I'm not suggesting KZ3 will reach those numbers but…looks promising 😀

I eagerly anticipate getting off work today then studying for a test, and finally tearing off the KZ3 plastic wrap and giving it a good play.
I'm studying as we speak. Ugh, this can't turn out well by the look of it. If KZ3 was waiting for me I'd be in even bigger trouble.

It's all about experiencing the game yourself. The beta really blew people's minds. It truly is an amazing game. Really miss the weight of the characters, but other than that the game looks as good as anything this gen.

will be getting this game along with the playstation move sharpshooter… my ps move has been collecting dust lately…
just be sure to make gun noises with your mouth while playing the sharpshooter 😉
I'm curious how the Bulletstorm vs KZ3 sales will compare.
Im sure most ps3 only owners will pick up KZ3, or KZ3 and Bulletstorm, rather than just Bulletstorm.
Bulletstorm looks pretty good, though a bit ridiculous. I picked up the PC version but i havent gotten around to playing yet. I expect Bulletstorm to sell about the same or a little more. It doesnt seem super popular, but with 3 platforms to play on it will pick up a few more sales.
Bulletstorm shouldn't even be in the same league as KZ3. It's just cheap gimmicky crap. Kicking people in the air for point bonus', which by the way, the point system is terrible.
Bulletstorm tries too hard to be funny.
While Bulletstorm has its flaws, its still tons of fun. I'm not going to pretend its bad just because it is directly competing against a ps3 exclusive.

I would not suggest that you do, if you are having fun that is what matters, but I hated it and felt that the point system was broken.
I can still understand your love for it as most of my favorite games this gen, some people consider less than ideal.
I bought both, 'cause Bulletstorm's demo made me laugh.
I'm very much enjoying Killzone 3, though.

World, there's no way you can study AND cover my patients with KZ3 staring at you from the corner of your eye! I know the minute I get home, no matter how tired I am…it's Helghast slayin' time.
I haven't played Killzone, except for Liberation on the PSP. We just got a Sony 3DTV and a family member wants to buy this game because of the 3D aspect. Will it be necessary to play the previous games for the story? Or is it something I can easily go to Wikipedia for? Also, if anyone wishes to play the game with me, feel free to add me. Correction: I also played some offline multiplayer of Killzone 1. The game was fun, but kind of slow. I didn't like it much. How do the new games compare to it? And how do they compare to Call of Duty, story-wise and multiplayer-wise ? I played the campaign of Black Ops and I loved it. I don't do much online of Black Ops but it is fun. Minus the pros that can kill you in two seconds.

This game is awesome! Split screen co-op, beautiful graphics, easy controls, and that perfect mechanical feel to the weapons that only KillZone has delivered.
If you have a PS3 and you're a shooter fan, this is a must buy!!!

It will be interesting to read about any nefarious differences between the PS3 and Xbox versions of DA2. After ME2 on PS3 I'm more inclined to trust Bioware.

Yeah man, you could grab all your music and make a playlist of them and rock out while slaying some n00bs!
I adored Killzone 2 for custom music online (in-game) and LBP 1 for being able to do the same while you're in your pod.
Im gonna be a bit peeved if you cant listen to your jamz while murking online.
