2K Sports has announced more details for Top Spin 4 today, and that includes the healthy roster of recognizable athletes. The cover will boast Rafael Nadal, Anna Ivanovic and Andy Murray; Nadal is the reigning world #1, Murray is #5 and could become the first Scotsman (or Englishman; England wants to call him theirs, now) to win a Grand Slam in many years and Ivanovic…well, we know why she's on the cover. And for the first time in a decade, legend Andre Agassi will make an appearance in a tennis game; that alone is a good reason to pay attention. Said Murray:
"It’s great to be included in Top Spin 4 with such a unique line up of tennis players, past and present. It's exciting that 2K Sports is giving gamers the chance to face off against different pros in realistic and detailed interactive matches."
2K Czech is really working hard to deliver a simulated, rewarding tennis experience; the fourth installment in the critically acclaimed series will boast "redesigned controls, jaw-dropping player models and enhanced TV-style presentation elements." Each of the top players and legendary pros will have those attractive Signature Style animations, which feature "player-specific swing styles and behavioral AI, custom celebrations and outfits," etc. So like, Nadal's fist pump.
Other names include Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Dinara Safina, Novak Djokovic, Andy Roddick, Caroline Wozniacki (if you didn't know, the current women's #1), Jelena Jankovic, Nikolay Davydenko, and legends like Pete Sampras, Jim Courier, Michael Chang, Boris Becker, and Ivan Lendl. Top Spin 4 is scheduled to release on March 18 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
P.S. Wozniacki has earned the nickname "Sunshine;" take one look at her smile to figure out why.

I have never played this series outside the demo when I first got my PS3. Seemed like a good Tennis sim…The 2K team has this sports sim thing down to the "T"
will it be move enabled though?
Not sure, but I know the next Virtua Tennis is basically designed for Move. At least, I think it is.
Edit: I've learned TS4 is compatible with Move, but NOT with Kinect.

Awesome news. I'm definitely going to be Pete Sampras. You can't go wrong with having legends in any sports game…automatic win!

The only way I'll be picking this up is if it's Move compatible.
I don't think we have reached the point where the move would really be realistic and fun in such a capacity as this. When I want to play tennis, I'll go to the courts myself. If I buy this game, it will be because I want to play a great tennis video game. Will the move be able to grasp that I'm not swinging late but rather am purposely hitting an inside out forehand cross-court? I've waited since I first got my PS3 for the next Top Spin to come out, I too played the demo when I first unwrapped my PS3 and figured it wouldn't be too long for the next installment. Twice I made bids on the last one on eBay but didn't win and was too poor/stubborn to pay more than I wanted too. Tennis is my favorite sport and I was beginning to worry how much longer I would have to wait. No updates for a while on this game. Thanks for this one! Can't wait to play it.
Also 2K is good at sim thing but their baseball game is pretty awful.
