Officially unveiled at the D.I.C.E. event all the way back in 2007 with the project codename of "Vista," and then announced as The Agency for the PlayStation 3 and PC a few months later, this spy-themed MMO is all about multiplayer espionage. But when might it finally arrive? Well, according to a recent Kotaku interview with Sony Online Entertainment CEO John Smedley, the game will be ready to go during the second half of 2011. Smedley says we shouldn't worry about the delays, noting that their last project – DC Universe Online – was also pushed back and actually benefited from the extra time. In The Agency , players will work for one of two main factions; both sides want to end up having control over the world, and that's quite the quest. Just about everything the spy fan could want should be here, including assassinations, intrigue, sabotage, undercover stuff, betrayal, etc.
It remains the one MMO we might really want to try; how about you? The potential is just through the roof, isn't it?

I had a friend who had something that ended with an -itis…went to the doctor took some pills..-itis was all gone!

This actually reminded me of some other game.
Does anyone know what ever happened to that one game shown when the PS3 was about to release. I think it was called 8 Days or something? Like where basically your character moved and you controlled the shooting – Time Crisis like except with a controller and in 3rd person.
Is that canceled?

Yes, 8 Days was canceled back in 08……
Eight Days was to be a PlayStation 3 game from Sony’s London Studio. It was shown for the first time at Sony’s E3 2006 press conference.
It was a hybrid of a third-person shooter and driving action that shared similarities with the PlayStation Portable game, Pursuit Force.
The title was canceled on 4 June 2008.

I didn't know DC Universe online released. I doubt this game will see the light of day. An Alpha Protocol MMO? No. No news or footage in four hundred years? no.

I'm pretty sure it didn't, i just like the direction they are taking this, the picture looks old hopefully they make it look better, but if it's fun then i don't mind.

Really interested in this game. I can wait 'till next year. Have a lot of games to handle until then.
This game looks like it'll be a flop
Well, there's another PS3 exclusive for the end of next year. Maybe the releases won't peter out as badly as they did this year.

im starting to fear……..BIGTIME. i really am starting to fear that agent may never make an appearance. i mean we havent heard a single detail ever since it was unveiled as being a ps3 exclusive.
i would of thought by now that they would of at least gave us something……………anything………………even the smallest of detail. but nothing…………fear flows through my veins.
It's the one MMO I might want to try as well. Looks intriguing. I've been wanting to check out what the whole MMO thing is all about for a while, but just haven't seen a game that really interested me yet.
I'm going to need to see a bit more..but I don't see me getting involved to much in an MMO really. With all the games that are coming out, who has time to spend on just one game?
I barely have enough time to play online..let alone think about an MMO…
Why the Agency is being delayed for so long? It SOE doesn't want another disaster after the fiasco with EQ2.
Anything that demands a monthly charge has to be absolutely stellar in order to succeed. They can take their sweet time and release a proper game. If anyone can make an MMO work it's SOE.
