It's never too early to speculate about the next Grand Theft Auto . That's a rule. Same goes for Final Fantasy , by the way.
Grand Theft Auto IV launched about two and a half years ago and after Rockstar delivered the stellar Western-oriented GTA, Red Dead Redemption , this past May, we're all wondering: when might GTAV arrive? Well, Take-Two recently announced they were shifting the end of their fiscal year to March 31 (like most other major game publishers), and Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey has predicted the near future for the successful company. Firstly, he says their 2011 fiscal year (April 1, 2011 – March 31, 2012) will feature L.A. Noire (which now seems very probable) and Max Payne 3 , and even Duke Nukem Forever . But GTAV isn't in the mix. Hickey says it's "likely" that the next GTA installment will show up in Take-Two's 2012 fiscal year and when it does drop, it'll be huge: $750 million and over 16 million copies sold.
The higher sales expectations are partly due to the increased PS3/360 installed base in the US, which he believes will hit 41 million units before the end of 2010. This will be in stark contrast to the 14 million consoles that were out there when GTAIV released in April 2008.
Can't wait
That's fine with me, I still have many hours left in GTA-4 to see what side stuff I can find.
And I still want to jack a garbage truck to pick up Carmen, so so she knows I'm going to be dump to dumping her butt.
Plus earlier tonight, I hit Gamestop on their "Buy 2, Get 1 free" deal, so I got GTA:Episodes from Liberty City,
Alan Wake,
Deadly Premomition,
Onechanbara:Bikini Samurai Squad,
Import Tuner Challenge" for my 360 library,
& Borderlands for my PS3 library.
So adding these 6 games into my long nuclear winter backlog of games, I'll still have a nice bright, radiant, fluorescent, retro-active, glow for well after GTA-5 does comes out.

I didn't get to finish GTAIV cuz it broke on me, and while it is a top notch game I think I'll be passing on GTAV till its el cheapo, cuz that style of gaming is getting bo-ring. The missions just aren't fun anymore.
I do, however, want those other three, Noire, Duke, and Max Payne, so I gotta plan my money accordingly anyway.
How does a game break?
It glitches out and stops giving you missions you need to advance the story.
World,
Gamestop, has GTAIV cheap, $17.99 used
(the employees let me take all the 48 hour XBox live cards I can find in their used GTAIV boxes)
I still have the game, I don't know if the glitch would reappear if I tried to get as far as I was before (which was near the end) but it's hard to invest that time when I don't know for sure. I certainly won't buy it again though.
what about kingdom hearts 3?
back on a serious note, i honestly do not want GTA5!
why?
because i know GTAIV is going to happen all over again, im going to get so freaking excited for it, i wont be able to sleep the week of release than ill finally get it and ill be so disappointed with it just like i was 4.
so R* unless your actually going to go back to the old ways of GTA ala vice city do us both a favor and dont bother!
give us a GTA colection with GTA1,2,3,vice city, san andreas, liberty city stories, vice city stories and chinatown wars for good measure.
if not that, just hurry the hell up and release max payne 3, agent and LA noire!
World,
Here's what to do about that bad disc.
Go over to Gamestop, buy a used copy & swap out the disc & bring it back as defective.
Then get your money back & you'll have a working disc.
I'll buy GTAV if its a sequel to Vice City. Anything else and i dont care. The series has gotten worse since VC imo.
Day one purchase for me… it should be huge!
Q!
"play.experience.enjoy"
Absolutely! If there's a game that gives you your money's worth it's a GTA.
i hope its vice city
best storyline ever music gameplay .loved everything about the game
sequel would be awesome.o yeahhhhh back 80s
Anything developed by Rockstar is quality. I don't care what story is, I'm buying it. It's just too bad we have to wait so long.
I can't see myself going for anything like GTA again I've just lost interest in that kinda game but while it may be similar L.A Noire as caught my interest. Just pray that it won't have the usual missions
I hope it's bigger than San Andreas, the open atmosphere.
D1P, most anticipated game for 2012.
How does a game break, lets see, throwing up against the wall, kicking the crap out of it,frizby options, clay pigeon shooting, need i go on
