Sega’s New Registered URL Indicates Valkyria Chronicles 3?

Many fans of the original were disappointed to learn the sequel would be exclusive to the PSP, but that doesn't mean there won't ever be another installment for the PlayStation 3.

In fact, there's every indication that Valkyria Chronicles 3 will bring the popular and critically acclaimed series back to Sony's home console. While ardent VC followers are still petitioning to get that PSP-exclusive entry on the PS3, they might soon abandon their desire if Sega announces VC3. As Andriasang points out, there's a new URL called "Valkyria3.jp" and with a little research, it was found that Sega owns it. You need to enter a username and password at the site so you won't find anything right now, but it was recently registered on May 31, 2010. Unsurprisingly, Sega also owns valkyria2.jp (registered June 29, 2009) and valkyria.jp (registered August 3, 2007), so this third site seems to fit right in line and point towards the impending arrival of Valkyria Chronicles 3 . It's a common assumption that this new title won't be on the PSP, or if it is, it will also be made for the PS3. So now, all we have to do is wait to see if Sega has something to announce; perhaps they'll spill the beans at the Tokyo Game Show next month.

For those of you who don't own a PSP, you might still want to try the original VC. If you like strategy/RPGs, it should be right up your alley.
