Anyway , one of the most hyped games in history has already made its distinguished mark on the Internet, and because the visuals are a primary appeal, a site like GameTrailers can really benefit. GameTrailers, the site that gives you great new videos every day (many of which you can find right here at PSXE), which is a division of Viacom's MTV Networks Entertainment Group, has announced that KZ2 has earned the prestigious Diamond Award. (source- Game InfoWire) This award is only given to a game that surpasses 10,000,000 (that's 10 million, people) views on GT.com, and it has only been awarded to one other PlayStation 3 title, and we imagine it's probably Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots . As if this game needed any more hype, right? But the fact of the matter is, it's a title that has demanded worldwide attention and that's worthy of praise in and of itself. If you have short-term memory loss and have already forgotten the release date mentioned in the quote above, it's February 27 . Got it? Okay, just wanted to make sure!

sweet i already got it pre-ordered, but for some reason the clerk said the game will be available march 6, which confused me so much. i knew for a fact the game releases feb. 27, so i guess it was just a problem with the computer. but either way, cant wait!

Sweet! You may be the first person I've met that has ever seen one. I was hanging out the other day and I just glanced at the tv and thought I saw one but as it turned out it just happened to be another Fear 2 ad lol.

I saw the commercial for the first time on Cartoon Network over the weekend. It was beautiful. You can download it from the Playstation Store. It's called Killzone 2 TV Spot or something like that. But, yes, I've officially seen a Killzone 2 commercial. It's about time!
The new one started today on UK TV, I just seen it. Its 100x better than that 10 second one that was running last week.
Meh the demo didnt realy inspire me to buy the game to be honest, but im gald the PS3 is gettign a highly successful game, i think im going to buy Silent Hill: Homecoming next week, Yes its finally being relesaed in the UK!

sweet! although i dont use GT much, i am starting to use them a lil bit more, at a time. and i love their vids when i watch them on HD.
Out of all the 360 ads they show on t.v., I've only seen 1 for KZ2 last Sunday when I was watching the Unit.
I agree about the lack of commercials! Where is the blitz of commmercials they said we'd see? Man Sony irks me. Do they really care??
I can honestly say that I've yet to see a KZ2 commercial. I mean I see the ads and what not online but thats just not enough. I might get bashed for this but I've lost all excitement for this game. The demo to me was very mediocre (than again, I haven't played the beta which im pretty sure destroys the demo). I feel like there's something out of place. I guess that's to be expected after seeing the greatness that GoW3 is coming out to be. This doesn't mean that im not getting the game cause you can bet your silly ass that i'll be the first bastard up there picking up my reserved copy. I know for a fact though that im going to fall in love with it. It always happens. IMO
With all the money Sony is apparently putting in for this ad campaign I was expecting to see KZ2 billboards everywhere, TV ads at every break and a posters on public buses. Not seen anything yet.
Yeah its a bit of a let down. Expecially not seeing one during the Superbowl.
I've seen the KZ2 TV ad a few times as I live in the UK, but it's still not enough is it? Especially when every multi-platform game looks like it is only on 360 to non-gamers 🙁
Oh well, i've preordered so i'm getting my copy of KZ2 on Friday 😀
Well I Played The Beta And The Frame Rate was Really Bad. I Had A HeadAche For Hours. so i stoped playing it. I Hope They Fixed It.
I saw the commercial on [adult swim] I hate to admit it referenced a Korn video. Sick commercial though, Sony advertising?!!
I thought the same thing when I seen the ad, Freak on a Leash.
@ Ultima SH: Homecoming isn't very good, rent it! I'm pretty sure that super cool "Super bowl" KZ2 vid was a fan vid. Having to suffer through BS at half time I needed to be KILLZONED!
And all we have on TV is a 30 second commercial that doesn't really show "real" gameplay.
I know it's made with the in-game engine, and it looks amazing. But… I BET that most people just think it's a cut scene.
Oh wow, Killzone 2 is really that "klose". I really can't wait to sit down the with the Singleplayer and also meet up with a few of you fellas on the PSN.

Lets just say Killzone 2 will sell about.. oh 3 mill in the first week.
If Sony were to have advertised it like they promised, it would of sold about 5+ mil.
(these numbers arent accurate, im just tryin to show how much of a letdown sony is)
Sony UK threw out a figure about a month ago saying they had already sold 1.1 million pre-orders, just in Europe. If that is true, 3 mil in the first week can definitely happen.
I finally saw the KZ2 Bullet commercial twice in the last few days, (once on a Philadelphia channel, & the other on one of the New York stations).

I said to myself that RE5 is the first ps3 game that i'll buy this year and i'm not gonna buy kz2. But I changed my mind, i'm gonna buy this game now. This game will be a great appetizer for RE5.
I've been waiting for this game since before I got my PS3 (in mid'07)…
