Uncharted Movie Hits Yet Another Snag

The saga of the movie's development will probably prove more interesting than the movie itself.

A film based on the vaunted Uncharted franchise was first announced way back in 2009 but after multiple directors and changes in direction, the project continues to flounder.

Now, it has undergone yet another shift. As originally reported by Heroic Hollywood , Seth Gordon ("Horrible Bosses," "Identity Thief") is no longer on board to direct. We don't really know why, but Sony Pictures boss Tom Rothman has requested a lower budget, so maybe that has something to do with Gordon's disappearance.

Now that they need to get a new director, you can imagine that the film will go through some hefty changes. It was supposed to start filming in "early 2015" with Gordon but clearly, that didn't happen (and won't happen now). Who knows when we'll see the movie at this point?

Well, at least we know we're getting the next game installment, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End , some time next year. Currently, all signs point to a March or April release.

The real question is: Do we really need it?

The only guy that reminds me of Drake (the few times I watch TV) is:

Sounds like they're not going about this the way you would normally create a movie.
