Amazon Prime Now Will Deliver Games In Under An Hour

Amazon usually delivers on a timely basis. Amazon Prime members get even better service.

Now, though, there's a step above Amazon Prime: It's called Amazon Prime Now and it offers one-hour delivery . It's not quite the 30-minute drone delivery service they've been exploring but it's still pretty cool.

Prime Now is only available to subscribers based in Manhattan but other cities will follow in 2015. In an hour or less, you can get your hands on "tens of thousands" of items, and this includes various "essentials" you might really need fast. So, towels, shampoo, batteries, and such things might be atop the list. They'll also deliver other items and this includes video games, so get ready to choose and play almost immediately! Of course, I suppose you could just go to the store, too.

The Prime Now app can be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play; there's an $8 fee associated with Now, but the two-hour delivery option is free. As of now, there are multiple big-name games, consoles and accessories available via this new service. If you live in Manhattan, you might want to give it a try… It's ready and waiting seven days a week, between 6 a.m. and midnight.

This is pretty cool. But I wouldn't do it if the game was brand new and I had to spend an extra $8 for delivery.

But if you wait 2 hours it's free delivery.

I must say that Jeff Bezos is pretty motivated or has a team that comes with pretty good ideas.

As someone that lives in NYC, it's no surprise that this is available to people who live in Manhattan. After all that's where most of the jobs are so it makes sense to make it available to people that pay rent/mortgage that most people in this country cannot afford.

On the other hard, it sounds nice to get that new game in under two hours but in all seriousness — are we really that desperate to play a game?

Well consumers have proven desperate since midnight launches became a thing. So yes

Amazon is brilliant, and they are unbelievably equipped to accomplish a lot for any type of consumer. It's quite amazing what they have done.

Funny no less than an hour ago I was saying the same thing to someone regarding that drone service. This appears to be different though.
