Persona 4 Apparently Headed To PSN

Might as well complete the set.

According to Gematsu , it appears that Persona 4 is headed to the PlayStation Network. This is due to a new content rating issued by the ESRB.

The full name of the title, as JRPG fanatics know, is Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 , and it's the only series entry that isn't currently available on the Network. There are already downloadable versions of Persona , Persona 2: Eternal Punishment , Persona 3 FES and Persona 2: Innocent Sin . Persona 4 received an appreciated re-release for the Vita in 2012, and we know three more installments are coming soon.

For now, it looks like Atlus wants to have all the acclaimed Persona games on the PSN. And we've got no problem with that.

I've got it for PS2, without a Golden editions like Vita has I don't really need it, plus I can't move my save over so…

Oh this is fantastic news 😀 I have been curious about this game for a while and tempted to get a PS2 version on disc, but I reckon a PSN version would be very sufficient – I already got Persona 3:FES from a sale on the US PS Store.

Heard about the series but never played it.

Would I like it?

Probably. Lots of exciting turn based RPG action, lots of Japanese high school culture, fun characters to meet, crazy story.

If you like turn based rpgs you will love the SMT series. Persona 3 and 4 are both excellent games. Soooo what world said.

Persona 3 FES (PS2 classic) would be a fantastic introduction to the series, if you are curious about it.

Shin Megami Tensei Devil summoner for the PS2 is on PSN now, in case anyone was interested in it.

I plan on picking it up, I love the SMT games they have such style to them and always a weird awesome story.

I played Part 1 & 2 for PS2. Loved it but loved Digital Devil Saga and Nocturne much more.

I would never have guessed you liked nocturne more 😛 just kidding your picture is the main character 🙂

I think nocturne is one of the best turn based rpgs I've played, so much depth to it. I did however get stuck at the matador and then forgot about the game, however my backwards compatible ps3 broke so I will have to start over when I play it again 🙁

Digital devil saga was awesome.

Well seeing as I have the PS2 and Vita versions of this game, I can't really justify getting this again. After having played Golden there is no way I'm going back to the Vanilla version of this game. It's fantastic for those who have never played it and don't have a Vita. Though Golden would be way way better for folks to play.
