Ben-DutkaNorth America was the only region to receive a totally uncensored version of the recently released South Park: The Stick of Truth .
Other territories forced at least some censorship on the potentially offensive game, but series co-creator Matt Stone says it's not "that big of a deal." During a new interview with The Guardian , Stone said editing out some pieces of content doesn't really change the experience that much:
"We weren't willing to change the content, but also it doesn't ruin the game – it's like 40 seconds' worth of the whole game. As long as we could make a joke out of the fact that they made us cut this, that was fine."
Stone added that he believes this censorship is a double-standard, as compared to TV, games are under a lot more scrutiny. He thinks this is due to the interactive nature of video games, which is entirely possible.
"There is an interactiveness that makes it different. There are things that make people more uncomfortable in an interactive world, definitely. But that said, what we had in the game, we could have shown that on TV pretty easily, especially now."
We said in our review that the new video game based on the long-running series is rude, crude, and oh so disgusting. But that's exactly what makes it catnip to the die-hard fans.

One of my favorite episodes was the one concerning Mohammad and Comedy Central's last minute refusal to let them show his image. So they went ahead and censored the whole damn speech and it was hilarious.
I feel bad for those of you that still live in a heavenly censored country. Eventually those with religious beliefs will become the vast minority and the world will be a better place.

If God is real, (and you already know that I believe that He is) then he is bound to absolute truth and can not violate that attribute or He will cease to be God.
Sorry, but I had to clarify that before saying I agree with you. Religion doesn't require anything truthful or good for its existence. It just needs a believer. Religion is worthless, in my opinion, because it teaches people to view others with contempt.
I have too much respect for you to ever try to belittle your beliefs. Glad we can at least both agree on the evils of religion.

Although often interrelated, there is a massive… MASSIVE difference between religion and faith. The two concepts are so powerful that they are capable of co-existing and growing one another exponentially as well as completely contradict and destroy one another.

Well if you're old enough to vote than I suggest voting. It's not a perfect system but it's better than doing nothing.
LV I agree that more people should be voting, however for a neat counter argument, look up Russel Brand's interview on the BBC.
It's surprisingly good (as well as funny at times).
It doesn't take any kind of special talent to be disgusting. Except for the voices, I think that anyone could contribute content to South Park and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them and the cartoon's creators.
No matter how I feel about South Park, if you're an adult and you want to play it uncensored then you should be able to. When you're through with the game for good, I recommend setting it on fire.

I grew up watching cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Droopy, Scooby Doo, and too many others from that era to mention. I always thought about cartoons as being for children, so when adult themed cartoons came out I felt like children would still be the main audience regardless of the artists intentions.
If you use the reply button, it's easier to know when someone is talking to you. In this case it wasn't that hard to figure out, since I'm the only person who suggested setting it on fire.

Animation allows for more creativity on a cheaper budget. When I grew up I used to watch Punky Brewster and Silver Spoons. As a kid I wasn't big on cartoons. Just because those two shows were live action with actors doesn't mean I'd compare them to True Blood or anything using live action and actors. I think you're being unfair to discredit or dislike anything animated just because it isn't kid friendly.
Equating cartoons with children's entertainment is a hard thing for me to shake. I don't have a problem with cartoons that are made for both children and adults that contains humor that flies over a child's head.
Sitting on a toilet to make a deposit, lighting flatulence, the gay guy attack that swallows someone whole up their rear, and the male abortion scene with the vacuum catching his nads are but a small sample of the things that don't humor me. If I avoid certain things that other people like, it doesn't mean I think I'm somehow better than them. You didn't imply that, but I don't want to give that impression either.
I haven't played it uncensored but one site mentioned that its actually funnier being censored than paying the scene itself, i can't comment on the playing side but it's very funny for the scene to be described the way it has been… Very funny. It certainly doesn't ruin the game and people should be grateful that instead of deleting the scenes or just doing some lame cover up that they went to some sort of effort to make it as funny as if you had played it, and imo they did.
you miss out on a joke or two so it does kinda hurt the game a little, but then you get different jokes supplemented so.
why would you sensor the game in EU though when it already got a rating?
they were scared those scenes would offend players?

come on the sh*t the shows shown, the game was never going to cause any problems.
censoring this in fear of backlash after people have seen the show is like creating hostel 2, but censoring out all the blood and torture scenes.
i think south park fans are pretty use to anal probes, abortions, and all the other sh*t the game does!
