Remember the "Hot Coffee" ordeal? Well, that's precisely what the associate producer of the upcoming South Park game was trying to avoid.
Unfortunately for the European and Austalian regions, The Stick of Truth will be censored in those territories. This according to "walgiz," who took to Reddit to explain the situation (as summarized at Thirteen1 ).
The following scenes weren't just edited; they were completely removed:
Only the North And South American versions of the game are completely uncensored on every platform. In Europe and Russia, the console iterations are censored, in Germany, only the anal-probing scene is edited, and in Australia, it's censored on all platforms. Obviously, the "Hot Coffee" reference is from the hidden sex scene in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas .
Every country has their own qualifications and reasons, I guess. Australia always seems to get the short end of the stick, though…pun intended.

The size of your image is insane.
Your big toe?
I wonder how many North & South American parents are going to let their lil' 5 to 9 year olds perform all kinds of abortions & anal probing.
My bet is thousands upon thousands(if my 5 local GameStops are any indication), at least here in the US.

Wasn't interested anyway. Though I really don't understand the allure of scenes such as those indicated above…
I despise South Park. I don't care that this is a turn-based RPG; I simply cannot tolerate the "humour" of the show, so I can guaran-damn-tee that no matter how good Stick of Truth is, it is not for me.
i'm sorry but i just can't play a game which you perform all kinds of abortions & anal probing. i just can't handle that i hope u can still respect me cos i know alot of you will be
happy gaming =)
i can understand us getting the screw over, it was refused classification so they had to edit it.
but WTF would you edit the EU version?
it passed classification so whats the point of editing it?
oh well, im grabbing some US PSN cards and downloading it off the US store now.
hopefully it does not take over a week to download like my last ps3 game did!
I'm looking forward to this game. I'm not really into South Park, I have only watch a few episodes and parts of the PS4 versus XOne satire. But I've watched the Team America World Police movie and it was funny, I get the jokes. And this is maybe a satire RPG game about RPG Games or whatever but I'm sure it will be funny for me. Definitely on my list.
people rraise a shite storm because of games like GTA
i'm waiting to see the back lashing this game gets, if any.
I wouldn't play this crap even if it was the only game available on any console and PC.
I don't understand the reference about Australia in this article.
Australia and EU both received the same level of censorship I believe, so why make it a big deal about the Aussie version?
This just goes to remind me why I quit watching South Park a long time ago. Where's Jack Thompson when you need him?
