Atlus Reveals Persona 5, Persona 4 Arena Sequel For US

If you're an Atlus fan, prepare for not just one, but three new game announcements for North America!

The publisher has revealed that Persona 5 will release in North America some time in 2015 for the PlayStation 3.

The game was initially announced last November but at the time, it was only confirmed for Japan. For the record, this fifth entry is the first in the long-running franchise that was developed specifically for the PS3.

We have no more details at this time, besides what series director Katsura Hashino said about the plot (as relayed by Atlus PR Manager John Hardin): It's about "throwing off the chains of oppression to find one's true self." Well, that relates to this very red – and very mysterious – image, wouldn't you say? This is only one game, though; as I said above, there are three new titles to look forward to.

Another is the sequel to Persona 4 Arena , which will be called Persona 4 Arena Ultimax . This will come to the PS3 in fall 2014, and it boasts a new story mode that picks up where the original plot left off. We'll also get new fighting modes and a few new characters. Lastly, there's Persona 4: Dancing All Night , which is coming to the PlayStation Vita in the US some time next year. The game features 30 tracks/remixes, and the project is being developed in collaboration with Dingo ( Hatsune Miku: Project Diva ).

Is that enough Japanese culture for ya?

Turn based combat man (if it's intact), intense picture drama and visual novel stuff! Can you handle it bro?

I know Valkyria Chronicles was a strategy RPG, but it had all of those elements and it's an easy top 5 for my games on the PS3, so I imagine so.

I was going to make fun of the fact that you may not get to enjoy all the wonderful products we get here in the States than I saw it's -5 out at 10pm.

Yakuza 2 and Persona 4 best classics of 2008 even though Yakuza 2 released in 2006 in Japan for the PS2.

im glad it will be on PS3 but PS3 being a memory by early 2015 i don't think so
lets look at the game list of 2014 for PS3
drakengard 3
Kingdom hearts 2.5
Deception 4
Tales of xilia 2
Fairy Fencer F
thats just to name a few that haven't been released yet that all are coming to PS3 this year

the PS3 isn't dead rather this year will be the greatest year for me the PS3 has had in it's lifespan

Persona 5 and tales of Zestria next year why buy a console with almost no games when you have all these quality games coming to PS3

Oh my god yes!, been waiting for P5 for what feels like forever. I knew It'd be coming to the PS3, too… They did the same thing with P4, It launched for the PS2 when the PS3 was already out.
