Back in November 2012, "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter said his efforts to get a video game going were "dead."
However, now it appears the project has been resurrected. According to a new Tweet from Sutter, there will "definitely" be a game based on the popular FX TV series:
"I cannot give you anymore details, but I will tell you that there will definitely be an SOA game. And it's pretty f**king awesome."
Sutter says the currently unannounced and untitled "Sons of Anarchy" game will be a first-person action/adventure game. He's also made some pretty bold claims in the past, which were encouraging. That all being said, we have no idea if this particular project is the same one Sutter tried to get off the ground several years ago, or if it's a completely different idea.
We have no details just yet, so don't ask about targeted platforms or a release date. Let's just hope it turns out well.
I may end up getting this even if it isn't great. Just because I fear the final season will leave a serious emptiness in me, much like 'The Shield' did. Though I like to pretend a video game was never made for that series.
Hopefully something good will be released, but I don't have the liveliest confidence in licensed games. Still, I love the show so a good SAMCRO game would be welcome.
What ever became of that other biker game that was supposed to come out???
It was called "Ride to hell" if I'm remembering correctly.
I haven't heard mention of it anywhere.
OOPS, never mind.
Just found out why "Ride to hell" fell so silent, almost all the reviewers said it was a horrible glitch-filled broken game.
You can check out just some of it's glitch-fest right here
It released last year to widespread panning, with a Metacritic average of 13 for the PS3 version. I remember reading an entertaining and absolutely blistering 1/10 review on Eurogamer if you want a bit of a laugh.
telltale games?
