Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is a big undertaking. Especially in the music department.
A new video has been released highlighting the game's orchestral soundtrack, which was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London. This footage features Lords of Shadow 2 producer Dave Cox and composer Oscar Araujo. Araujo handled the score for the first game, by the way.
There's plenty of exclusive recording footage, and here's the interesting part: According to Cox, this was the largest orchestra ever used for a video game score. It took several weeks to record, which means this soundtrack should be downright epic . Music is always an integral part of any game experience, and that counts double when the atmosphere is so singularly compelling.
The highly anticipated Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 arrives for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on February 28.

Following in Dante's Inferno footsteps. Still it's nothing without the epic synthesizers and gothic tune.
LoS was a gem, and the demo for LoS2 only made my body spazm even more in the wait. Gorgeous, epic.
This game is going to be so EPIC!!! I've been waiting since they announced it at 2012's E3! The music is unbelievable. I have never felt so moved by this music since Final Fantasy 7's Musical Score! Such an epic tragedy that is Gabriel's Fate…
THIS is what a true game is! This is what games these days try to be! Most anticipated game right here along with Fallout 4 and Mass Effect 4!!!
another thing games have really struggled with lately.
in fact only game that had a really suitable score was dantes inferno, added so much to the game!
There were actually a LOT of games that had great music this gen: Castlevania: LoS, MGS4, Uncharted 2 and 3, Skyrim, Arkham City, GoW 3, Heavy Rain, Bioshock, TLoU, just to name a few.
I have been waiting for this day since the reveal trailer in 2012, I can't wait any longer!
