Rambo: The Videogame Is Clearly A Labor Of Fanservice Love

John Rambo is one of the biggest bad-asses in film history, despite the heavy cheese factor.

Wanna relive the cult classic in an old-school rail-shooter format? Then you might be interested in Rambo: The Videogame , which is on the way for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in "early 2014." It also just received a bunch of new information and a fresh trailer, as posted over at the Euro PlayStation Blog .

An arcade-style rail-shooter that spans the story arcs for the first three movies, the project boasts original move voice-tracks for John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) and Col. Samuel Trautman (Richard Crenna). There are even extracts from the original movie soundtrack, just for all you movie buffs! Those who pre-order the title will also receive John Rambo figurines based on the original movie posters for "First Blood" and "First Blood Part II." …notice the word "original" has popped up a lot? Love it!

And although it sounds like a straightforward, brainless shooter (which would indeed be in the spirit of the movies), Rambo: The Videogame has more depth than you might think. For instance, there's a leveling system that will encourage you to replay the 16 missions, and the PS3 version will support the Move controller. You can aim, lob grenades, and even perform stealth executions via motion sensing.

So? Who's up for it?
