It's February 18. That's when NASCAR 14 will launch in North America for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, as publisher Deep Silver recently announced over the weekend.
Developed by Eutechnyx, the latest NASCAR entry will cost $50 when it hits store shelves, and it will faithfully recreate all the best highlights from the entertaining 2013 season. The game will also feature Career Mode, official teams and tracks, and online multiplayer and leagues.
Said Deep Silver COO Geoff Mulligan:
"Deep Silver is releasing the best NASCAR racing experience yet to hit video game consoles. Fans will soon be able to compete in recent high profile races, experiencing the exact same conditions the real drivers faced. With an aggressive post-release content plan, NASCAR '14 is a game NASCAR fans can enjoy all year long."
I've never been a big NASCAR fan but I've known some big-time followers…they're pretty damn serious about their favorite sport. Don't say anything about "driving in circles" around those people; they'll rip your head off. They kinda have a right to do that, though, as it is indeed a lot tougher than just "driving in circles." And it's a lot more complex, too.
