Rockstar Games has announced that they will release extra story content for Grand Theft Auto V in 2014. Said the developer:
"We have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin, and Trevor's action, mayhem, and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas."
So far, we haven't seen any new single-player content; all the expansions have had a multiplayer focus, as is typically the case. On that note, Rockstar has also revealed that Online Heists are headed to GTAO next year, and they're currently working "very hard" to polish 'em up before delivering the goods. The developer continues to tease more extra content in 2014 for both GTAV and GTAO but personally, I'd be more interested in the announcement of a new Red Dead . Onward and upward!
Grand Theft Auto V was plenty big enough to start with, anyway.

well theres been ONE multiplayer thing but I understand. And that dlc was garbage.
I wonder how GTA Online is doing. I tend to get into my own bubble where my mind is moving onto next gen things and I'm just finishing games to have them done and shelved or sold. I wouldn't want to stick around playing the same last gen game for a year or more; people is crazy.
The Last of Us should have won the Game of the Year, Too bad Yakuza 5 didn't come to the West or else it would have been a cult hit in the west beating GTAV.
I couldn't pick best RPG if Yakuza 5 or Ni no Kuni went head to head but it would have been a nice to see.

hope this is the whole kit and kaboodle, a new character, a all area of the city, all new missions and activities, all new weapons, all new cheats.
best thing about GTAIV, the .00000000000001% of games that do get DLC is normally just a extra mission or two, but TBoGT and TLATD were totally completely different games!
almost whole GTA games in their own right!
really want to see the same with this, please dont just give us a GTAV.1.
as much as i love the characters, lets see someone new and send them on a whole new crazy adventure.
Cool, cool, as long as they offer a standalone release in the vein of Episodes from LC, I'll be there.
well that is a nice change of pase for DLC for once in awhile it might acctually be worth it and add to a game not complete it

I think it will be going back to North Yankton (first mission and one other later in the game).
If you look at the map for that mission it's quite large and includes a whole town plus countryside, but you can't get to any of it because the mission fails.
Plus someone who hacked the recent update found sound samples for a Casino Heist so that may also be part of it!
There's so many un-used assets in GTA V, the Casino and Horse Racing track being just a couple, oh and of course the Prison!
Story driven DLC? What a disappointment that we have to pay more to complete the whole thing, unless it works in the way of expansion packs, or how they used to be at least.
