Ben-DutkaWell, if the progress of the "Uncharted" movie is any indication, this will probably take a while. A long while.
According to GameSpot , Sony has registered a couple of domain names that hint at a film adaptation of Naughty Dog's latest compelling masterpiece, The Last Of Us .
The domains "TheLastOfUsMovie.net" and "TheLastOfUs-Movie.com" were registered via MarkMonitor on November 25 by Sony Pictures. For the record, Sony hasn't officially announced a movie based on The Last Of Us , although it's probably one of those games that's primed for the silver screen. The setting, theme and story could make for a gripping, emotional adventure, provided it's handled correctly.
Then again, this could just be another move to protect the brand. Which we wouldn't mind, as it still seems highly unlikely that a film could be as good or better than the game.

I wonder if Wells and Balestra want Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg to write the movie like Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg with Uncharted.
This has potential for greatness or disaster. It is a crowded space in the Zombie/Infection/Apocalypse movie genre and 90% of them are limited by the material. The Last Of Us is a great game but nothing remarkable in the sense of exploring the human condition and how society may crumble in the wake of such terrible events. How many movies won an Oscar in this genre? Or, how many movies of this type made a shit ton of money? Not that this movie if made cannot be great or successful. But it is a gamble.
well i wudn't surprise they are trying to make more money of this game cos i made them alot of money and so they think that the fans of the game will watch the money follow my logic

Well, it would certainly make for a more imaginative "zombie" movie than the scores of zombie movies out there.
