According to a TMZ report , actress Lindsay Lohan intends to sue developer Rockstar Games for allegedly using her image without permission in Grand Theft Auto V .
Evidently, she's seeking "serious money," although no official lawsuit has been filed just yet. We're not sure where Lohan think she sees herself, but TMZ points out a few possible instances: There's the picture you see here, which honestly appears like your generic hot blonde pic, but whatever. Then there's a mission that tasks players with helping a character who might look like Lohan escape the paparazzi. Other than that, we don't know what Lohan saw or why she thinks Rockstar ripped off her image; it's hardly the first time the developer has faced a lawsuit.
With so many characters and NPCs in a game like GTAV, I bet I could find someone who looks like me, too. Think I should sue?

Well in fairness to Ellen Page she never threatened to sue and Ellie at one point in early production did look like her though not so much in the final retail game. Lohan looks nothing like this other than the blond hair which Lohan's is fake anyway. She's actually a ginger.
I thought she was quoted as saying she could "sue" ND for using her image. But in this case you're right. It would be like Emma Stone suing a videogame company for having an image of a red head that "looks" like her.
I don't recall her mentioning anything about suing but I could have missed it. I just remember her saying that ND "ripped off her likeness".
She never said she could sue. The whole thing was from a reddit AMA and it was a loaded question at that. And besides, as jawknee said, the earlier versions of Ellie did look very similar. The outpouring of kneejerk hate for Ellen Page was a bit sad really given that she was just responding to someone asking what she thought about ND "using her in the game".

come on guys this is grand theft auto here. there are a LOT of drugged out whores in this game. she probably just saw a drugged up whore and thought it was herself. she looks like she never looks in a mirror, she probably forgot what she looks like.

I can't remember what the character in the game looked like, but it's likely that paparazzi mission you've mentioned where she may have noticed a resemblance. I wouldn't put it past R* to subtly include a Lohan-esque character for a mission. Who knows.
I think she felt that she hadn't been in the media's eye for a while, so thought she better say something outrageous so people don't forget she exists. Any publicity, including stupid publicity is still publicity!
