It was added as a billing option for the Xbox 360 back in 2011, and now it has finally made its way to the PlayStation 3.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , Paypal is now supported for Sony Entertainment Network purchases. Time to buy!
Paypal support was introduced for SEN's website earlier this year, and mobile Paypal funding came later. But up until now, those accessing the PSN via the PS3 weren't able to pay for any purchase with Paypal's system. They could only add funds to the online wallet via credit card or pre-paid voucher. Well, now you've got another way to spend more cash on your favorite hobby…the temptation to overspend is just awful, isn't it? Not for me; I'm too damn practical.
Do you anticipate utilizing the PSN more during the next generation? And if so, what for? Full games? Gonna start getting more DLC? Or will you take advantage of the other available media, such as TV shows and movies?
I was already using my paypal credit card, but I must admit I don't like the whole adding funds to the wallet thing.
Nice! but I'd rather see amazon payments.
finally!!!….
makes life a little easier, just little..
a little bit
i suppose this is a gud thing if u like using pay pal i personally use prepaid cards more often and use paypal just ocassionally.
happy gaming =)

as long as you live in the US of course.
sigh.
f*ck you too again $ony!
Again your anti sony campaign is false:you can also use PayPal for PSN outside the USA!
well at least here you cant.
I'll stick to my PSN Cards thanks. To this day i refuse to put my cc information on PSN.
Hopefully, this will also be available on the PS4 on Day One. I don't use a credit card, just a bank account with very little in it for online purchases via PayPal.
It's much more convenient now that they moved it from their official site to the actual Store on the console now.
