If you're the impatient type, or you're a card-carrying hardcore member of Call of Duty nation, this will appeal to you.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the upcoming blockbuster, Call of Duty: Ghosts , will be available to pre-load on the PlayStation 3.
Customers who pre-order Ghosts via the PlayStation Store can start downloading the game on Sunday, November 3, starting at 3 p.m. PST. The game will then be available to play on launch day, November 5, right at midnight. The cool part is that you can pre-load the standard version or the Hardened Edition, so you can still get all those extra goodies digitally. If you want to get a head start on the online multiplayer action, you should start learning the maps early!
It was confirmed yesterday that the PS4 iteration of the new CoD will be run at a native 1080p resolution , while the Xbox One will only manage an upscaled 1080p visual display.

I can't afford d1p games very often so I don't really benefit from pre-loading. I do benefit from insanely discounted digital content, though. The wait is well worth the lower than disc price.
Props to PS4 for doing 1080p natively at 60fps.
Judging by BF4's performance on PC, it roughly takes a ~$300 graphics card and a relatively recent CPU to run it at the speed and res the PS4 does on "high" detail settings.

I wish I could have heard the collective screams across the internets as Xbots learned their version would be inferior.
I bet they're still in denial. They'll pretend it doesn't matter. Then, overtime, they'll realize they've erred in their ways and then will make a life changing transition to PS4.
