Schilling Having An Estate Sale, Want To Help Him Out?

It was an ambitious endeavor and quite frankly, it failed. That's when you have to start selling stuff, unfortunately.

According to a new report from CBS Boston , ex-Boston Red Sox ace pitcher Curt Schilling will be holding an estate sale at his Medfield, Massachusetts home. After helping found the now-defunct 38 Studios, Schilling and other studio executives are facing a big lawsuit from the state of Rhode Island.

As such, it seems Schilling is in need of some cash. That's why he'll be selling off a bunch of his furnishings, decorations, collectibles, and even his home. The estate sale, managed by Consign Works , will include signed paraphernalia, a patio set, some posters, various home accents, and the 7-bedroom, 8,000 square foot home. The latter's asking price is $3 million, by the way, and it has 27 acres of land, a pool, a volleyball court, an ice-skating rink, and a putting green. If you're interested, the sale will be held this Saturday, October 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lots of sports fans will probably show up.

Schilling lost $50 million of his money in the 38 Studios debacle, so none of this is really surprising, right?
