It must've been difficult to make a movie based on games that rarely have much in the way of established storylines.
But hey, who needs a good story for a film about fast cars and hot chicks? Plot is secondary, anyway. And as posted at JoBlo , the first trailer for the "Need for Speed" movie from DreamWorks is now up for public viewing.
Starring "Breaking Bad" actor Aaron Paul, "Need for Speed" is set to be released in theaters on March 14, 2014. It tells the story of an ambitious street racer (Paul), who goes partners with an arrogant buddy (played by "Captain America" actor Dominic Cooper). Things go awry, though, and Paul's character is sent to prison. After he gets out, he joins a cross-country race to get his revenge.
As he says in the trailer:
"They took everything from me. I do not fear, for you are with me. All those who defied me shall be ashamed and disgraced. Those who wage war against me shall perish. I will find strength, find guidance, and I will triumph."
You will also see Michael Keaton (the list of movies he's been in is just too long), rapper Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi, Ramon Rodriguez ("Battle Los Angeles," "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"), Rami Malek ("Night at the Museum," "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2"), and Harrison Gilbertson ("Beneath Hill 60," "Accidents Happen"). Directing is Scott Wauch, who is best known for helming "Act of Valor," although he was also part of the stunt crews for dozens of movies, including "Torque," "The Italian Job," and "Biker Boyz."
"They took everything from me. I do not fear, for you are with me. All those who defied me shall be ashamed and disgraced. Those who wage war against me shall perish. I will find strength, find guidance, and I will triumph."
Is the most cheesy thing I have heard in a long time. This isn't Braveheart…..
"They took everything from me, and they gave me this gigantic forehead."
Looks fan made.
With real actors?
Nope I don't see any real actors in there.
Why do they insist on making games into movies….
The Gran Turismo movie, then this. What's next? Burnout? Midnight Club? Mario Kart!?
LOL @ Mario Kart
Well that looked… pretty damn crap. Nice cars. A pretty poor snippet of writing backed up by a overly melodramatic voiceover. Average looking action sequences and well… you can expect not to see my cash heading towards this film.
It's cheesy as heck period. I was hoping it would have more class or something. And of course, every Western film has to have some kind of explicit and sex content. It can never just be about cars and the characters. Please, Gran Turismo, stay away from everything this movie is trying to be. No freaking wonder Kaz turned down every movie offer for the last 7 plus years.
it looks all okay it looks like our typical fast cars movie but it's okay.
happy gaming =)
I am going to see this Movie just because how terrible it looks.
Im looking forward to the movie. I see alot of people saying how cheesy it looks, but do we really need an movie thats going to win an award? I just want to see fast cars, and crazy wrecks!
At first I thought this was a Breaking Bad movie trailer spin-off. If he survives the final episode Sunday Night that is.
"They took everything from me…….those that defy me will perish" Kind of sounds like what he went through with W.W.
Even him getting out of prison could be a possibility from the ending of Breaking Bad.

Hmmm…I'm still extremely skeptical to say at the least. This really did nothing to convince me that Need For Speed needed a movie.
