There's no doubt that Grand Theft Auto V and Watch Dogs are similar, in that both are basically open-world adventure games. There are stylistic and gameplay differences, of course, but both have similar structures and both require a certain amount of dedicated time.
Therefore, had both titles launched around the same time, that could've been bad for Ubisoft's new IP. After all, regardless of quality, GTA is a well-established franchise that is guaranteed of ridiculous sales. However, with a two month gap between GTAV and Watch Dogs , Ubisoft believes that's enough time for gamers to play, enjoy and finish GTAV…and then be all primed and ready to move on to Watch Dogs . Well, that sounds reasonable. The only question is, what about the other open-world game that comes out a couple weeks before Watch Dogs ? Ubisoft, it's your very own Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag …
