Black Ops II Apocalypse DLC Hits PS3, PC On September 26

The new Call of Duty lands on store shelves in November, but you're still having fun with Black Ops II , right?

If so, and you're not playing on the Xbox 360, you're looking forward to the fourth and final downloadable expansion pack, Apocalypse. Good news- Activision has dated this DLC for PS3 and PC gamers.

Apocalypse heads to the latter two platforms on September 26. The add-on boasts "four thrilling and diverse multiplayer maps, as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops II Origins ." If you're wondering, Origins is an all-new Zombie hunting experience that reunites players with the original heroes of World at War . The four maps are: Pod, a failed utopian community from the 70s, set on the side of a cliff in Taiwan; Frost, a snow-covered European city, Takeoff, a remote launch site in the middle of the Pacific Ocean; and Dig, which is "an adaptation of the fan-favorite Courtyard" from World at War . Archaeological dig sites in Afghanistan are ripe for battle!

What good timing. At about the time you're done enjoying Apocalypse, Call of Duty: Ghosts will be upon us (it's set for November 5).

…and this is where Activision's little 'xbox' preferred contract bites them in the ass and hopefully Microsoft pays Activision enough to compensate for the loss of sales they will no doubt see because of the piss poor timing of the final map pack as it backs up against GTAV, a new console, COD Ghosts, and BF4….
