Free-to-play has become a very popular game model among developers and publishers.
During their press conference at Gamescom 2013 today, Sony revealed LittleBigPlanet Hub , which is the first free-to-play LBP title in the award-winning franchise. You up for it?
It will be available for the PS3 later this year, and it'll let players create levels and games, compete in user generated challenges, and share their inventiveness with the rest of the LBP community. Sony has promised a "truckload of tools" that we will utilize to transform our imagination into video reality. If you're a fan of the free-to-play idea, then you like the idea of downloading a game for free, and then paying a bit here and there for more items and features. Some people go for it, some don't.
There's also a good chance that LittleBigPlanet 3 is in development for the PS4, and it'll be announced very soon…

I will avoid anything free to play like the plague.
I think that the F2P model is a good idea since Media molecule is no longer going to support LBP. It's a good way to keep the franchise going without having to put many developers on it. Hence we are the developers and F2P makes sense.
I was actually thinking about this very possibility a few days ago. This could actually work really, really well. Not that it has any impact on me…
Ugh. Talk about cashing in on the franchise.
(I'm saying this as a massive LBP fan. Sony are slowly destroying it, with this microtransaction BS, the karting game. Who knows what they have planned next…)
i really hope there a LBP3 comin 2 was so much fun.
happy gaming =)
this is LBP 3… feels like a definite for me. they could sell you amazing campaigns, if you want to play them. I got the feeling this is the las LBP
