DICE: Battlefield 4 Player Stats Will Carry Over To Next Gen

When Activision and Infinity Ward unveiled multiplayer gameplay for Call of Duty: Ghosts , they also confirmed the existence of appreciated cross-gen statistics .

This means that if you purchased the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the new CoD, and then got the PS4 or Xbox One (with the corresponding version of Ghosts ) later, your profile, any DLC, and all your accumulated player stats would transfer over. But not to be outdone, developer DICE has made the same announcement for Battlefield 4 . "We got your back," was the simple statement. Well, of course. Gotta keep matching the competition, or you risk losing ground.

The Battlefield developer also revealed a Premium subscription service for BF4. If you sign up, you'll receive digital expansion packs, along with weekly content and personal customization options. All this content will be cross-gen compatible as well. No price was announced but we'd guess it to be $50, as the Ghosts Season Pass will likely cost the same amount.

The FPS war of 2013 begins soon…

well, thats one thing i can thank call of duty for. they said they were going to treat bf4 ps3 and ps4 versions seperate so they wont do stat transferring before and that annoyed me. nowthat they officially announced it, i can buy my ps3 version first since i cant afford a ps4 yet… unless ben has something to say about it (contest), lol

so if you pay double the price for the game you get to be a little more special?

i dont know what you mean by pay double the price. if you meant premium membership, you get all the map packs at no additional cost other than the premium membership.

if you mean buying the game twice, i think gamestop is doing like upgrade your current gen bf4 game ( bought and played ) to a next gen bf4 for $10. basically your current gen bf4 will have a $50 trade in value

Sure hope gamestop is going to do that for us gamers (upgrade), have to buy the game two times would s#$k once for PS3 and once for PS4. As for the Battlefield 4 game it looks great but have to see it played on a PS3 and not a high end computer.
