Call of Duty: Ghosts exploded today, as Activision handed out plenty of multiplayer gameplay and new details.
Firstly, the multiplayer unveiling has come in a series of stages, which has included a 17-minute features trailer followed by gameplay from a full exhibition match. You can see them both below…are you impressed?
Secondly, Activision confirmed that Ghosts DLC and character profiles will carry over from current- to next-generation consoles. So, if you start with the PS3 or 360 version of the game and then pick up the PS4 or Xbox One down the road, your content and profiles will make the jump with you. Of course, you'd have to purchase the PS4 or Xbox One iteration of the game, too. The transfer of the content is free, but bear in mind that this only works within one console family; i.e., if you have the Xbox 360 version of Ghosts and then get the PS4 installment, your content will not cross over.
Third, the expected Season Pass announcement was made. It will include four expansion packs that are scheduled to arrive throughout 2013 and 2014. They didn't reveal a price, but as a frame of reference, last year's Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops II was $50. As for the multiplayer, Infinity Ward is calling it "the most significant overhaul" of that mode since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007. Good news for the hardcore followers.

I've never really gotten season passes, or any kind of DLC for that matter, but I didn't know the prices ranged at up to 50$. Seriously? That's like buying a completely different (new) game! But I suppose this is what the future holds.
Like the fact that you will be able to create your own solider. Some features to me feel unnecessary but and least you will have it available. Graphics look about the same, then again it's not a turn off either. Overall judging by the vid, it looks really nothing to rave about and something that I hate about their franchise is their overpriced DLC.

Gotdamn $50?! For a season pass!? Seriously stop buying…. bah, you're money do what you want…
The dual rendering scope is awesome. That will help me out tremendously. I gotta say thats a welcomed addition for sure.
I am not impressed, and that's coming from somebody who wants to like this game. It's just the same horse beat to sh*t. Sure they added some things here and there but not enough to really separate itself from the rest of the COD games. Go back to the drawing board IW, cause if this is the best you can do it is very sad indeed.
You know what i think that ps4 version of COD will outsell xbone, because xbone will not be released in nordic countries this year and russia, netherlands etc. I do not know but why they are doing the same thing what sony did with ps3 in the beginning (are they so stupid or is it a some big masterplan, and in the end mS will say that there was no xbone it was a big ps4 p.r program :D)
I bought BF 4 for my ps4. But damn this looks good.
Wow they added reverb for sound and some minor destruction in the maps. I'm not that impressed.
PS4 pre orders for Ghosts have far outpaced those for Xbone.
The seasons pass saves you $10 if you intend to get all the map packs. ( I LOVE new map packs).
Thats great news that your multiplayer progress gets carried over between generations.
Hardened edition announced but not available for pre order at Gamestop yet.
They are going to take a hit with passes and maps this go round, especially since the bulk of their next gen consumer base will be ps4 users….with the absurd turd of a deal with Microsoft you would have to be brain dead to buy the pass since the last maps appear so close to the next release….just like last year…less than a month of new maps b4 blops 2 hit. I bought a couple of maps but I'm done for the season.
Glenmorangie killed my brain long ago.
Ill get my monies worth with the last map pack no worries.
Hopefully this generation will automatically download the new maps as an update if you have the pass
If scotch is killing your brain, you aren't drinking it right.
Aaaaannd Infinity Ward just designed half of Treyarch's next game.
Well, they did a damn good job of selling it. I'll give them that much. Honestly, I'm probably going to get some flak for things I'm about to say, but I'm going to say them anyway.
While this is all good news for the CoD fans, all I see is CoD catching up to the rest of the FPS world, finally. All the customization things, and all of that business? Sure, it looks great, but at the same time, it's already been done in other games. I, personally, am reminded of MAG. No, it's not exactly the same thing, but it's pretty friggin' close. All of the other things, like the audio cues, reverb effects, etc. are good additions, and I'll admit, it's pretty impressive on paper. But, I'll come back to this in a second.
They added a bunch of things, yay! Honestly, if they didn't they shouldn't be releasing it as a new title. In the end, it's still just a dolled up arena shooter. And the gameplay video shows just that. I realize that the game audio is background noise for the announcer, but going back to all those nice new engines, do you really think that people are going to even notice them? See, the gameplay itself hasn't changed into anything new. It still plays like CoD. So, I guess, if you're willing to pay attention, you might notice the difference in sounds between rooms, but none of that matters when each spawn lasts somewhere between 10 seconds and 2 minutes, where it's nothing but frantic spraying and jumping around.
Thing is, I have a strange relationship with the CoD series. I want to like it. I really do. Other people want me to like it too, so they can get me to play it more regularly with them. And, at first, with each new game, there's always something that catches my eye, that makes me go "Hey, that's really frickin' cool! I want this game!" But then I start playing, and I honestly cannot see the difference from the previous game, and I hate it, I get bored or frustrated, I end up trading it in for store credit toward the new controller that will be replacing the one I just broke.
See, I watched the first video, and I got super psyched, and pumped for the game, thinking that maybe, just maybe, this time shall be different. (It's not different at all, is it Steve!)<— Bonus points for knowing the reference.
And then I watched the gameplay video. Maybe it's just my old age, but I cannot, for the life of me, see the difference between that and MW2, MW3, BO1 or 2, or any of the CoD games from the past 6 years.
tl;dr: You can polish a turd, but it's still a turd.
Ya , it s pretty much a re-skin of what we saw for far too long .Each year my playtime drop .
Was playing for about 7 days + worth of playtime pre mw2 ( last game i played that much was black ops )and after that it went to about 3-2-1 days .
It s just not impressive anymore but at the same time , it s still among the best fps MP tho .
This year ,it s gonna be bf4 first then maybe cod once i had enough . That is if i get tired of bf4 before Titan fall is out .
Titan fall = what i wish cod would be for the past 2 games .
