Flying returns to Grand Theft Auto when GTAV launches next month, but you won't have that luxury in Ubisoft's Watch Dogs .
Although the game will boast a dynamic, immersive open world, senior producer Dominic Guay told Examiner that players will not have access to aircraft in the anticipated title:
"Players will not fly aircrafts in Watch Dogs. We did not feel it was core to the experience we wanted to create."
We can drive a wide variety of vehicles, though (including motorcycles and boats), and we'll even be able to leave the city of Chicago. Guay said this will let us explore just about everywhere, including "beyond the limits" of the city, so it's not like we won't have enough freedom. And remember, Rockstar didn't include flying in GTAIV because they wanted to produce a slightly more realistic game…of course, the aircraft have returned in GTAV, and I hope the parachute does, too.
Watch Dogs will release for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on November 19. The next-gen version is also due out for the holiday season.

I can't wait to play this on my ps4!
It would've been cool, and even relevant, if there was the ability to hijack surveillance drones.
There were plenty of flying in GTA4 with choppers?
Exactly…
If you could fly the confounded piece of sh*t.
yep, any aircraft that leaves the ground is consider flying.

No drones seems odd in a game like this.
That is a damn good point, World (and Shams, above). Of course there should be drones!

It would have been cool to have helicopters, but if the flight control's sucked as hard as GTA I would be pissed.
Actually the controls of the choppers in GTA are pretty much exactly how they are on RC choppers (ergo close to real life), in other words pretty authentic.
I bought a RC chopper a few years ago and I just immediately recognized the controls from GTA. It was so funny.
it wud have been cool but thats okay.
happy gaming =)
