Oh man, that amazing music…it'll generate a torrent of memories in the mind of any Final Fantasy fan!
The HD remasters of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 are scheduled to hit the PS3 and Vita later this year. They also include a few bonuses the original games never had.
We keep finding out about new ones, too. For instance, we'll get a half-hour audio drama written by series writer Kasushige Nojima, and that's being teased in the video below. The episode will boast new characters and voices, but this example includes two voices you should definitely recognize… As for that wonderful music, the FFX HD remaster will feature over 60 "rearranged and optimized" tracks; add in the music from FFX-2, and it's an audio tour de force!
Just give us a date on these, Square Enix. It's one of the few dates from you that we actually care about.

Nerdgasm! They are sure showing a lot of love for fans of a game type that they don't want anything to do with anymore. I guess all we can do is enjoy the nostalgia. I've got my pre-order in.
Got mine in too… gotta help this sell more than Lightning Returns! lol
Got to blow it out of the water!
Was that Rikku and did she just say Teedus? I've always pronounced his name as Tie-dus – as If I am wearing a tie… I don't think I could sit through an hour of hearing Teedus….
It's good to hear the familiar voices, I would have been so furious if they removed them and considering all the hatred Tie-dus (As I shall now have to make a point in his every-time I mention him now…) I'm surprised they still kept them. But I hope the tones arent so deadpan all the way. Still it's a nice little incentive to buy the HD collection if you're a fan.
But, I still cannot get over the new character model for Tie-dus. Here is a new shot which you can see the comparison to the original character model:

Granted the image for the original is stretched it was the best I could find on short notice. There is just something about the face of the new model I cannot stand, it just looks so lifeless.

Yeah, "Tee-dus" was always the correct pronunciation of the name. Oddly enough, we never knew because I don't think his name was mentioned all that often by other characters in FFX. More dialogue and less cut-scenes in those days. 😉
Well no, it never was because in Final Fantasy X you can replace the name. None of the characters mention his name throughout the whole game because of it. But obviously without the visual cue that they're addressing Tidus they couldn't keep it doing it. Actually saying that, Did they ever say Tidus through out X-2? I haven't played it for many years, but if they include the Japanese Last Mission, features I will certainly playthrough it again.
lol, you don't know your Japanese pronunciation Son.
No they never made mention of his name in X-2 either, they just said "him".

I knew what it was because of the first Kingdom Hearts. They pronounce it "teedus" at the very start when you meet the kid version of Tidus.
Oh man, How is it that an HD remake of a decade old game is one of my most anticipated titles of this gen?
I know I'm dreaming when I say this… But I hope that when this games sells like wildfire, and it will, it shows SE that there is still a market for non-actionfest Final Fantasy games. Playing JRPG's shouldn't be a constant test of my twitch reflexes… ugh…
If you really need to implement anything twitchy, give us a battle system with a mechanic like Additions from Legend Of Dragoon. Additions were awesome and oh so satisfying to nail.
Blazing Dynamo!!!
OMNI SWEEP
Saw some battle gameplay footage with Auron and "Tee-dus". They really polished it up. And yes, it's the old school slick and swift turn-base mechanic we love and remember from FF 10.
ooooomg they just said HIS name! HIM! this will be a beautiful trip through spira
