Black Ops II Apocalypse DLC Confirmed: Origins = More Zombies

The final add-on pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II has been announced. Ready for more?

It's called Apocalypse and as usual, it will debut on the Xbox 360. It'll be available on August 27 and it will retail for $14.99. If you purchased the $50 Season Pass, it'll be free.

The final expansion features four new multiplayer maps, two of which (Pod and Frost) are entirely new to the franchise. The other two are Takeoff and Dig, which are re-imaginings of maps seen in the first Black Ops and World at War . Plus, there will be a fresh zombie hunting experience with the new Origins mode, which Treyarch teased a few days ago. Origins also includes the Avenged Sevenfold song, "Shepherd of Fire," which is from the band's upcoming "Hail to the King" album.

They say Origins is "the most horrifying and imaginative Zombies experience to date," as players will run amok in a Dieselpunk-styled World War I era theme. Specifically, you're in France, but it's no France you've ever seen. That's where you'll meet the original four heroes from the very first Zombies map. We'll also get an all-new arsenal of weapons imbued with "supernatural powers," as well as a diesel-drone and a Mark IV tank. Oh, and you'll have to avoid a 1,000-foot tall robot, too.
