The open-world campaign may still be the primary draw, but the online multiplayer component shouldn't be missed.
Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have confirmed that Batman: Arkham Origins will feature an online component that "blends the traditional Arkham gameplay with third-person shooter mechanics." It's being designed by Brink developer Splash Damage.
You can hunt as either Batman or Robin and you will pit yourself against other human foes. If you so choose, you can even assume the role of a Super-Villain Elite and "get a peek behind the curtan of what it's like to side with the Joker or Bane." The game features a bigger, more detailed Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set a few years before Arkham Asylum . A "young and unrefined" Batman takes to the streets to deliver his own brand of vigilante justice…and if you hadn't already guessed, he's pretty darn good at it.
Batman: Arkham Origins will release for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 25. There is also a handheld version, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate , which will be available on the Vita and 3DS.
Just to clarify- The game is coming to the Wii U, but the multiplayer component will not.

interesting
shall be mine this halloween
HA HA HA
Brink failed though.
Batman? Multiplayer? Don't think so.
whats the reasoning behind no mp component for the wii-u version
There aren't enough Wii U owners… ZING!
great, another game getting MP just so they can tick another box on the back of the box.
oh well, i hope the developers enjoy putting hundreds of hours of blood, sweat, and tears into something which will be a ghost town 2 months after release!
some day these people will understand tacking on MP is not going to gain you any sales, nor is it going to stop people from trading in the game.
all its good for is pissing away resources!
why not use those resources on something that would, you know, actually benefit the game!?
