Best Buy Game Sale: The Walking Dead, Ni no Kuni And More

It's time to save some bucks before school begins.

See, the cool part about Back to School sales is that you don't have to be a student or parent to take advantage. These are discounts for everyone!

And Best Buy is doing more, as they've got some big-name titles marked way down for the week ending Saturday, August 3. As noted by Gamer Deals , the retailer is offering plenty of awesome games for low, low prices. You've got award-winners like The Walking Dead and other great titles such as God of War: Ascension , Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 , Rocksmith and Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch marked down to only $20. For the kiddies, the Skylanders: Giants starter packs have been reduced to only $40.

If you haven't played The Walking Dead and Wrath of the White Witch , most will tell you that you are seriously deprived.

Replay value? I really can't decide if I should get it. My question is, is it identical to Pokemon?

I've never played a pokemon game so I'll just tell you a bit about the monsters. You can collect as many or as few as you want to. Each human character has 3 slots of monsters, I filled them up very early and kept the same critters through the whole game, only doing monster hunting for side quests.

Keeping the monsters is easy peasy, just feed them treats to level them up beyond the levels they already gain from combat. They get new abilities as they level up and you can customize their loadout.

Replay value is good I think since you get a world map and lots of side quests. When the game completes the finished game save places you right before the final battle so you can go back and do any quests you missed.

Just remember it's a General Audience title, the story is like kid's fables so don't expect any grand JRPG epic. It's fun and uplifting but fairly light play, the dungeons are fun to explore but they don't go on forever. There's more focus on storybook world travel than getting bogged down in any one environment.
