Battlefield 3, Oddworld And Others Hit PlayStation Plus In July

Many people have been wondering if PlayStation Plus is really worth it. Well, do you like free games? Sure you do.

The Instant Game Collection continues to grow and Plus peeps just keep reaping the rewards. As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , we now know what games will be discounted for July.

Some really great games have discounts, and they're totally free for Plus members. They'll kick things off with Battlefield 3 , one of the most acclaimed and respected shooters of the generation. Other free games for the Collection include Jet Set Radio , Dokuro , and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee . Also, don't forget that certain titles will be disappearing from Plus, including the excellent Deus Ex: Human Revolution . This is why you've always got to strike while the iron's hot!

Lastly, remember to visit the PSN to check out the Summer Blast Sale , which starts today. Summer is a time for deals!

I'll give Battlefield 3 a shot, hell it's free so why not? And I might as well put Jet Grind Radio in the Download queue just in case I ever get an itch. I already have it for DC but this HD version could be worth a play if it works well with the Dualshock 3.

Just found out the other night that putting things in the download queue still takes up HDD space :If you are low on space, you can select download, and then when it takes you to the downloading screen where you would normally press "download in background" just hit cancel. It still goes into your purchased list.

great a game thats been out for years that every man and his dogs played!
nice to see $onys content on proving what i said yesterday 100% accurate.
at least oddworld is there, shame its taken so long for it to come back it really did not get the attention it deserved back when it released.

On the bright side, it's starting to slightly match the EU. I'm still waiting for Hitman or Kingdoms of Amalur to show up on the US Plus though… Although we did get SR3 and Deus Ex, which I'm not sure if they received Deus Ex, so it seems there's been some slight improvement on the US side, but not by much.

Sony does a remarkable job if getting those 8 out of 10, B+ games on Plus — games that i was a little interested in when they came out, was more drawn to something else, said I would try later and never did. And now, since they're free, I can! Big fan of the service.

Awesome, would not have gone out and purchased BF3, but if it's free I'll play it at some point. Still have tons of space on my TB drive so why not.

I didn't find BF3 to be that impressive on the PS3 – it is however a magnificent experience on the PC
